Verge, Where do you expect the Panthers to go in the second round? Do you feel they double up on lineman or draft a weapon?

They will take Fields if he is there, but I doubt he is there and I believe they knew this, so they played themselves in a great position by getting another young QB with potential just in case. Also, if it doesn't work out with Darnold and Fields is gone, you still got Watson, Rodgers, Wilson as possibilities.

I think we want Slater or Sewell at 8 and will trade down if they are not available.

But who would be trying to trade up if those guys aren't available?

Will we be able to get another pick for Teddy or we will ultimately have to cut him? An extra fourth or fifth this year could be nice in an excellent Oline draft.

What kills me is I still don't know the direction we are going here. I could easily still see us going QB in the draft, BA, anything. Who knows. I won't be shocked by anything at this point.

I don't mind Sam Darnold and I like him way more than Teddy, but I can't think this is the only future plan for the Panthers. I think it was a desperate move to make sure we are stable at QB, but I would still think we would consider adding a QB in the next 2 years through the draft or Watson.
