Wilks has also proven nothing. Was a failure at Arizona and then got us a handful of wins. Big whoop. I'd expect most NFL coaches could string together a handful of wins. In fact, most do. Tell the room why you like him so much.

It's a perfect analogy. My mother visited me recently and said she likes Wilks because of his Charlotte roots. That's what science calls a "result". Both JR and Armanti were chosen because of their roots. Wilks being local should mean absolutely nothing.

I just want to see a special one-off contest between Ron Rivera and Wilks. Like the Nathan's Hot Dog contest ... but in this case ... who can look the most stoic on the sideline. First person to show emotion loses.

This turf debate is so tiring. Wake me when 65% of injuries and higher happen on turf and not grass. It's just not the case. At most it's slightly over 50%. Players get injured because football is a rough game and they put massive force and torque on their bodies.

But the Bears have their QB. He could be elite as early as next season. We don't have a QB.

Brady will probably play 1-2 series. They have zero reason to play any starters that game.

The only chance the Aints had for next week was if the Packers lost today ... and they're whipping the Vikings butt. So yeah, next week will be a CLASSIC Panthers Versus NFC South Final Game of the Season With No Hope For Either Team game. Basically like a pre-season game.

Start PJ. That could help us lose by no fault but his own.

The best part of today's loss is that's it will be much easier to trade up with a high pick if that's what we try to do. We'll probably be picking at 6 or 7 if all goes our way. Teams will see that spot much more highly than where we would've picked had we made the Playoffs. Swap first round picks and give them next year's first too, and go for the ultimate gamble at QB. Or, just stick with Sam and Matt ... or trade for Carr and keep on being the same old Panthers. Or, trade away some of those top picks we got for Burns ... oops!

The funny thing is ... some of us have been saying this exact thing ... for weeks and weeks and weeks. Well, funny to me. I was one of those people. Now that some of you and your Exciting January dreams have been smashed ... welcome to reality, guys! Let's hope we LOSE next week. We want to stay at six wins.

He's a GREAT player ... but NOT one of the top tier guys in the NFL. He's right under that tier. We made a massive mistake not getting picks we need for our future for him.

Christ almighty. I checked my Fantasy game for the first time today just now. Didn't even care really as I'm not in the finals. Still locked in starters yesterday though. Anyway, the guy I'm playing has Mike Evans on his team.

A team with a losing record has NO business in the Playoffs. We'd get in because of the dumb division rule. Remove that then neat ... we won some games in a row! Then again, this is the Panthers. We're so awful, winning games in a row is actually a big deal.

So does tripping ass first into the Playoffs, losing, keeping the same QBs, and keeping the coach who did "ok".

Of course he can. We don't draft a QB, Matt continues to not be ready, and PJ is PJ. Sam is your starter and we continue to be mediocre. That is a very real and scary possibility.

Just to give some of you false hope, there are a handful of mock drafts out there that have us taking Stroud or Young in OUR spot lol. Lots of the teams before us went for the Clemson, Bama, and GA edge guys, and another went for some RB. Some even had Levis go first lololololololololololololololol. But yeah ... according to a lot of these "experts" Young and Stroud are not a lock to go 1 and 2.

So which DT or LB are we going to draft?

I think the actual point of this thread isn't "ha ha, Willis lovers were wrong" or "something something Corral" or "project etc etc" or "Willis sucks" ... The point is that the Titans can still make the Playoffs and pulled Willis for a guy off a practice squad.

The real difference between Penix/Maye and what 4Corners is trying to troll here (that backfired) is that Washington is a respectable team and UNC is not. Thus Penix doesn't need to transfer. We all saw what you were doing, 4, but you didn't think it through all the way. Sorry. That said, I still love it when the two yokel Heels fans snap at one another.
