  1. No they weren't. But yes, they are in the Top 10. Their fans want them to be #1 though and Wilks has not lead them there. Since, you know, we here at the Huddle blame everything on the coaches.
  2. Nice of the NFL to give us the honor instead of New Orleans.
  3. Oh I know, man. I took their D in Fantasy and I may not play them again this season. Major let down.
  4. Their fans are mad bc they aren't the top rated defense. Nothing more, nothing less. They're supposed to be top rated. They aren't. He has time to help them turn it around.
  5. Yeah, most people equate NYC with Manhattan ... aka "the City". It's pure hell. You couldn't pay me to live there. The boroughs are less compact-crowded, can be quite beautiful, friendly, have just as good cuisine, are more diverse, and have just as much to do as Manhattan. Well, Brooklyn does. Bronx, Staten Island, and Queens are like the suburbs in a way. Where I live now is so surreal. I'm across the street from the ocean, a skate park, and everyone and everything is laid back. It feels just like a beach town ... and well, it is one.
  6. I never said NYC was better though. Not sure why you took it there. I mean, I personally think it is, but in this thread all I said was Charlotte is bland, and that young players would probably want to play somewhere else. Hell ... after 12 years in Brooklyn I'm at Rockaway Beach in Queens now.
  7. I went as a kid. Don't remember much about it. But yes, I imagine it's quite white. Not counting all the snow.
  8. What does that have to do with Charlotte being bland? Congrats on the money though!
  9. Charlotte has no culture. No diversity. That's part of the problem. It's the definition of bland.
  10. I drafted the 9ers D in Fantasy this year and have regretted it. Luckily, was able to pick up the Steelers D in FA so ... buh bye, Wilks.
  11. No one is saying there is a correlation. They are saying people would rather be signed to play in those places than in Charlotte. I get that you guys love your state and city ... hell I lived in CLT for 18 years. But replace Charlotte with: Oklahoma City, Memphis, Jacksonville, Baltimore, Indianapolis, etc. Now ... defend in the same way.
  12. Also, the inferiority complexes and butthurt in here are funny to read.
  13. Yes. There is nothing for a young, rich, athlete to do in Charlotte or Raleigh. Great state to raise a family, but not for a young man living out his athletic glory days.
  14. Would you Madden nerds stay out of this thread? A contending team isn't going to trade us one of their best WRs.
  15. Gain weight, wear leather, don't trim your body hair. You'll be golden.
  16. Awww don't ruin my fantasy of you being one of THOSE Persians. You were our board's Kim K. Not now!
