Yeah barring serious injuries to the other QBs in the division, we are not competing with NO, TB, or ATL this year. Feels like playoffs are about as likely as the Vinny season.

I would take that but I doubt it would happen. Howell is the type of QB we should go after in FA in the offseason though. Someone that fits the system and can play right now while we have a rookie sit. We don't necessarily have to draft someone in the top 5. If there's someone in the later rounds that makes sense, take them, and use the earlier pick on WR or Edge.

Almost any other QB that's rostered by another team is better than what we have now. Personally I hope we pick up a low tier one in free agency and draft one next year. Early, mid rounds, whatever makes the most sense at the time.

Since the 1st quarter of his 1st game he's looked like this. The excuses for this kid are ridiculous and completely out of control.

It’s like some people believe that any QB has potential in the pros, but they all get ruined by some teams. Reality is that some guys just don’t have it. A lot in fact.

It could. I thought the Trey Lance thing was gonna be the jumping of the shark for that. But it hasn't cooled at all. The only 1st round prospect we've seen completely tank in the draft is Kenny Pickett (who was probably not a 1st round talent)

The notion that players will perform significantly better at higher levels of competition does not hold water. Would you say that a QB that was no good in high school would be better in college? Because he was throwing to high schoolers? Its nonsense. A good player playing in the 4th quarter of a preseason game will pop out like crazy. Plummer has the size and the arm, but he is not any good. That's all I'll say, because I'm almost certain we will see him get some real action towards the end of the year. He will be exposed for what he is. A camp arm.
