It’s so ridiculous it’s crossed back over into awesome territory

I'm sure that's what it would take, but it's too much for us IMO. We are not just a QB away, and missing on that pick after that trade would be devastating.

CJ Stroud's tape is a Pleaseant Surprise
PNW_PantherMan replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not super concerned about it personally, but it's probably his biggest one. Concerns with a particular prospect don't always manifest themselves in the NFL, but its just something worth noting IMO. -
Daboll squeezed every last drop of performance out of Danny Dimes, and it ain't close to being worth 45 million lol

CJ Stroud's tape is a Pleaseant Surprise

I think CJ is the best QB prospect in this draft, but I think his biggest potential weakness is his personality. He seems very reserved and almost aloof on the field. Not the stereotypical vocal leader type. -
QB Hype in February vs. Where they were actually drafted

I would not be surprised to see Stroud go 1st overall. He seems like the best prospect in this class. -
The goofiest cornball coach in the NFL?

Looks like something from The Office if it was about football instead. -
Coaching Staff: Final Pieces (as of 2-23-23)
PNW_PantherMan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Glad to see Tepper is learning, but I find it funny how hard of a 180 he's done. We went from a staff with 0 NFL experience to probably the most experienced staff in the NFL lol. -
Interesting twist regarding Lamar Jackson...

Everybody was saying the same stuff about Watson a year ago. -
Interesting twist regarding Lamar Jackson...

Plus he has never shown up big in a playoff game. That has to be a concern. -
I'm assuming enough for him to live comfortably. The guy has already made a boatload of cash. I'm just saying if it was me, personally I would be trying to win and not necessarily go to the highest bidder.

If I was Carr I would pick the Jets. They have a strong roster outside of QB and a good coach.
-
Carr is store brand Kirk Cousins

How are the Saints not #1? Did I miss something?

Just like the best players don't always make the best coaches, the same is true for announcing. It's a completely different skill set. Tom is probably too bland to be good at it. And nobody will tune in just to hear his voice on commentary. You tune into a game to watch the game, and you are at the mercy of whoever is assigned to calling it.

Not really rooting for either team but I have a feeling the Chiefs win.

Panthers hire Josh McCown as QB coach

I don't think McAdoo even thinks him staying is an option. That went out the door with Wilks. And even if Wilks stayed, I feel like it was a coin toss if he would have kept McAdoo.

I mean I'd love that, but I think that's outside the scope of a scuffed bridge/backup QB. I just think Sam aint it, so why bother bringing him back. Shuffle the deck and bring in a fresh face even for the backup job.

I cannot think of a less significant player in Panthers history that has caused so much debate.
-
I'm ready to see him go so we can stop talking about him.
