Everyone in the building is all in on Bryce
mrcompletely11 replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
yeah thats kindof funny, the texans were presumably heading to one but once they starting digging into the scouting they were like "nah we're good, bryce aint all that" Like I said the experts are one thing NFL teams are another. We simply dont know how the draft would have gone. If young was the all out consensus with nfl teams A)the bears wouldnt have traded and/or B) the texans would have made the move up one spot. its telling neither happened and now after 11 games with young we know why -

are there any mcdaniel type coordinators that are willing to come here? I dont see it. The more I think about it the more I would just get harbaugh in here and let him do his thing for a handful of years no matter what that means. If its moving on from young then so be it just let him work without bearing down on him -

yeah this process is going to be telling. Which candidates dont interview, who is on the search committee, are we doing the zoom thing again etc. Really what have the teppers learned about this process -

If thats the case, and it most likely is, then you are severely narrow your candidate pool as there will be some coaches who look at young and look at this season and simply say "fug that noise, good luck" -
if you think its a wild conspiracy that tepper has meddled in the past and meddled in the draft when this motherfuger and his wife were at pro days then I am not sure what to tell you just put me on ignore because I cannot argue on this simplistic level you like tep I get it

this is true but its also foreshadowing on how not to run a nfl franchise, forcing your new coach to hitch their wagon to any qb is a recipe for disaster -
we laid it out to you in elementary terms, its not my fault you dont understand it
-
after all of his meddling you think he was hands off in the selection of young and you call me clueless? Goddamn dude use your brain

tepper went off script and put his fat foot in his fat mouth but yeah as ncfan wants you to believe that everyone in the building, everyone, had bryce as their #1 -

Lombardi on Reich, Tepper and the Panthers job
mrcompletely11 replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Charlotte sports talk owes lombardi an apology. That dude absolutely nailed it in the preseason and was blasted for it -
Think of it like this, if you knew you had a boss that was a vindictive control freak that fires people at the drop of a hat and you were scouting qbs and said owner let it be known who he liked the best are you really going to challenge on that or are you going to fall in line? I think that is where you get the "unanimous" comment. There is no way that human nature allows everyone in that building all thought young was the best pick and nobody thought stroud or AR was better. Thats just not how things work. And by him admitting that its A)a telling about his "process and B) he is admitting the scouting dept fuging sucks ass. Having all that aside and knowing the things to date that tepper has meddled in one would have to be a fool to think that tepper wasnt having the final say. Listen to the OG podcast that just came out and Jon Jones lays this out.

https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2023/11/27/23978651/frank-reich-fired-carolina-panthers-david-tepper-bryce-young I mean its becoming a universal thought at this point. With so much smoke....... Someone in Carolina was going to take the fall for this at some point, even though it is the widespread belief in NFL circles that Tepper pushed for the drafting of the diminutive Young over Stroud, who has the prototypical size and accuracy of the type of quarterback Reich has tended to prefer over the course of his coaching career.

same guy, go figure

welp it was worth a try

10:42 in the video, thats where he gets tripped up
-
he literally said he had the final say, he literally said that
-
it felt like he had a canned answer but tripped himself up on it and he couldnt resist saying he had the final say
-
twice he referred to veto power and almost said he pulled it without saying, this motherfuger picked bryce that much is clear
-
Its a big word salad until his last question and he fumbles it like he got caught in a lie
-
go back and watch, he fumbles the damn answer and alludes to having a veto Im sure there will be a transcript, if you dont think he made the pick then I am not sure what to tell he literally just said he had final say
-
yep why didnt they ask him about fitt
