If cam plays average or above average then its a foregone conclusion we will not go qb in the draft and I would bet dollars to donuts we go oline. If we resign cam its going to be a multi year deal.

If we sign cam for 2022 and/or beyond there is literally a 0.0% chance they go qb in the first.

Sam is going to get cut and we are going to eat the cap. Or he stays as backup and we still eat the cap. There is absolutely no way around paying him for 2022

Our own FO said there are only about 16 players in each draft that are a difference maker. Picking 15ish severely limits our ability in that regard and this roster needs a major talent overall.

I wish we had signed him to a 2 year 18 millionish deal. That would solve a lot of problems IMO.

someone posted a stat the other day and in the past 25 years a team with an oline ranked in the high 20's has never made the playoffs. There is just no way to overcome that. I think we lose sunday and cam comes in and we go .500 from here on out. Then you have to sit back and wonder what the fug was the point of it all.

let me preface saying I love the cam signing.......however: I will ask this again, wtf is the end game here? We face a total thread the needle type schedule to make the playoffs and I am not seeing how finishing 8-9 is doing jack poo in building this franchise. I get the "win every game" mantra but damn man at some point there needs to be a clear and concise plan on how to build for the future and picking in the purgatory teens isnt it.

There has never been a clearly defined plan. I was cool with teddy if the plan was to rebuild last year, bring in a young guy this season to sit and then let teddy walk. It just seems the front office didnt have the patience to let it play out. IMO what should have happened was to let Cam run it out last season to see what was there. If they were dead set on cutting cam then dont sign Teddy roll Grier out there for a tank year and then build through the draft. If just seems like we have our feet in both pools, win now and rebuild and I hope that doesnt mean the 8winish purgatory that so many teams are in. Not good enough for the playoffs and not good enough for a top 6ish pick.
