  1. La Canfora has real NFL sources and there's zero chance a decision of this magnitude would ever be made without the full involvement of ownership -- regardless of which NFL team you are talking about... ...it's the same for Tepper & Panthers. Giants ownership was involved in and blessed the Beckham Jr. trade to Browns, ditto Jets owner with trade of Darnold to Panthers, etc... This notion that Tepper's uninvolved and simply sitting down the hall twiddling his thumbs illustrates naivete is its most graphic form.
  2. Mark Sanchez, Vinnie Testaverde and Chad Pennington all started 60+ games for the Jets and each had a winning regular-season record overall (.532, .574, .525 respectively). Between them they went to the playoffs 7 times over the course 13 seasons and the Jets were 7-7 in playoff games in that stretch. The list I'd be interested in is QB's who have been cast-off by the Jets and then "done well" going forward... NOTE: I hope Sam does well.
  3. Because you're an expert... ...we all want to know what you think @Varking why so mad? You got the runs?
  4. Your prediction on the 2021 win-loss record? Please be specific...
  5. Rhule has final say, not "the GM". (as per other poster) Absolutely nothing was said about Tepper as it goes to "football decisions". Nobody cares what you think.
  6. There's no spin here pal... ...as the inimitable Bill Parcells once said, "you are what your record says you are"... ...again: In last 10 seasons Texans (Panthers) have: - 7 winning seasons (Panthers 3). - 6 division titles (Panthers 3, one w/ a losing record LOL!). - 10 playoffs games (Panthers 6). NOTE: In last 10-seasons Texans have same number of winning seasons (7) as Panthers have in their 26-year history. While for whatever reason/s you may harbor personal animus towards certain Texans ownership/exec's it's undeniable they have lapped the Panthers franchise as it goes to "winning"... ...it's really not even close.
  7. In the last 10 seasons the Texans (Panthers) have: - 7 winning seasons (Panthers 3). - 6 division titles (Panthers 3, one w/ a losing record LOL!). - 10 playoffs games (Panthers 6). NOTE: In last 10-seasons Texans have same number of winning seasons (7) as Panthers have in their 26-year history. PS...you are correct about the Jets, "they just aren't ran well"...LOL.
  8. right. I meant that. So what does an Assistant GM do exactly? I know the GM has the final say on things but I'm just curious... The presumption is Rhule has final say. Org chart: Tepper > Rhule > Fitterer/GM > Assistant GM ---------------------------- If Rhule really does have final say the GM and Asst. GM are really serving in senior scouting/analytical roles... ...fancy titles but their responsibilities don't correlate with those who have similar titles at other NFL franchises who are employing the "traditional" (archaic) NFL model.
  9. He's certainly entitled to if he so chooses....
  10. Did Joe give any specifics as to why the team preferred Darnold over Fields? He say anything about what Sam is thought to do better than Justin?
  11. What a laughable joke that statement is! Huddle over/under for Panthers going into 2020 season was 2-14...
  12. Did you go into last season with similar optimism and support for Teddy? If so, how far into the season did the team get before you turned against Teddy? If anyone knew who Teddy "was" it was Brady -- if there wasn't a good fit why did they sign him in the first place? What gives you comfort the staff has made a proper decision this time around? I'm beginning to worry that there's some dysfunction present within the staff...
  13. Says Mr. Cut & Paste who has never expressed an opinion or stated position on anything, ever!
  14. There is something quite enjoyable about saying "I told you so"... ...we'll see if @Breakpoint4510 is right on Teddy and/or Sam going forward, only time will tell. As for his backward looking analysis and parsing of the "narrative" surrounding both players, it is all undeniably spot-on.
  15. What dumbass would dump Olivia Munn? She’s bad as hell. Only Rodgers would. My former boss used to say "even the hottest girl has at least one guy out there who is tired of f***ing her"....
  16. of all that Last season we had a new HC, OC and DC and no real preseason due to Covid. And in spite of all this... ...Teddy is the devil -- LOL.
  17. If they get one of the NY/NJ teams week-1 it will be an eye-opener...I'd bet Rhule doesn't want that.
  18. Unless that is it's Sam Darnold who is being asked to compete!
