Still CMCs overuse is going to lead to injuries. Doubt we'll ever get a full season with him again unless the coaching staff changes how they approach his use.

No one is saying that. But him being injured these past two years does raise concerns. Remember Todd Gurley was payed a big contract and then got an injury he never recovered from. CMCs use over these last 4 seasons almost made what is happening an absolute certainty.

As of right now I doubt CMC will play. So I’ll predict accordingly. Vikings: 20 Panthers: 10 Defense does it’s best to keep the team in the game. But the O-line and Darnold doom the team. Darnold throws 2 more picks and is sacked 3 times. Chubba scores the only TD and the team is leading 10-3 at halftime. If CMC plays I think this game is a toss up. Vikings are better then their record and have a top 10 defense.

Versatility may work in college but not the NFL, usually. Rhule needs to learn this and quickly. He may have 6 more year on his 7 year deal but if he doesn’t shape up and learn this isn’t college he will be gone before year 4.

I had this team floor at 5 wins, that is if it all went to pot, to 7 wins. Never thought this team was a playoff team.

Okay get this. Let’s emulate LSU and have 2 co-offensive coordinators.

Offensive line must be improved. Cousins is balling this year. 10 TDs to 2 INTs.

Fields is a rookie. So the jury is still out. Cannot use that excuse on Darnold.

Which makes me very worried because if Darnold ultimately doesn’t work out what does that say about a coaching staff that has failed twice.

I don’t know. Theses last two QBs seem to be 100 percent Rhule. Tepper seems to really want a franchise QB but he keeps defaulting to Rhules decisions. Rhule seems to not see much value in a franchise QB and maybe that is because he is a college coach.

Fields may of shown something that made the coaches discouraged but he would be a rookie with no former damage that could be brought up and molded into a franchise QB and they could coach whatever they saw out of him potentially. But 3 years of tape made them think, yeah this Darnold guy looks like the real deal. Even though he is damaged goods, smh. With a solid O-line Sam can be a decent starter but he will never be Elite.

Darnold isn't a rookie.

So when are people gonna stop using the O-line as an excuse?

I don't know I remember even during down years Jake was fine. Most years we didn't make the playoffs with him we were injured to heck.

For me it is week 6. Cause by that point you should know what your team is. If Darnold sucks next week we will know what he is.
