  1. Doesn't Burns have as many sacks as YGM this season (or if not it's bloody close). A bloke many of you were ready to run out of town. Elite Edge Rushers are hard to find. Edge rushers like Burns are a dime a dozen.
  2. Everyone compares him to Brees (I say Brees-lite), but Brees was deadly accurate at every level. He didn't have a strong NFL arm, but he hit those deep shots with pinpoint accuracy when given 1-on-1 opportunities down the field. Young hasn't even hit the same area code and I don't think he'll ever be able to with his current technique.
  3. It's not even that we ask him to go vertical, it's that he literally can't. Those plays are basically out of the playbook at this point.
  4. It's the worst professional football team I've ever seen. 0-17 is very much on, we just have to navigate the next 3 games and then we get to be history makers (assuming a division rival doesn't gift us a win).
  5. From Singleback, surprisingly. Then we went exclusively to Shotgun. I can't get over how badly he missed two 15+ outs (back to back) - like, he physically can't make that throw. How the fug was this guy drafted this highly?
  6. It's so difficult to get an NFL franchise that he'll probably never sell, even though he's turned the Panthers into a laughing stock, but damn he's got to be considering it.
  7. Hurrah, the guy that shouldn't be playing scored a TD.
  8. Time for the Canes to put Emory Williams in. TVD is dogshit.
  9. They drafted Bryce Young #1 overall - they clearly don't know what they're doing.
  10. Jesus Christ we've fallen far.
  11. He's not a S, he's not good enough in coverage - he can't carry a WR down the field (even though they constantly ask him to do it).
  12. Don't play with Chinn's feelings like that. You know he'd be thrilled to go to a competent franchise - if it's a bogus rumour he'll cry.
  13. It's terrifying, isn't it? Rather than shooting for the moon with the 'massive' project in Richardson, or going the safe route with Stroud, they doubled down on Young's 'processor' being able to overcome his significant physical limitations... and now we hear they're dialling back what they ask him to do mentally. Everybody is getting fired at the end of the season, imo.
  14. If that's true either his OC is calling a perfect game every week, or Stroud is overcoming his play calling on x amount of plays per game and making stuff happen. We of course have no idea if it is true.
  15. They're not going to appoint a GM mid-season, so there's no real point in firing Fitterer besides to take his hands off the controls (so he can't make any more stupid trades). Reich I could see having a come to Jesus moment later on in the season and mutually agreeing to part ways.
  16. So we're either trading nobody or we're trading everyone? Well at least the usual suspects have every avenue covered.
  17. Well and considering the NFL is teeing off on him like they used to tee off on Newton. Someone put it succinctly last week - Newton used to deliver punishment, Richardson receives it.
  18. To me it was always a big red flag that the consensus #1 overall pick and Heisman winner never won a National Championship as a starter at Alabama - in an age where only Alabama, Georgia and Ohio St could realistically compete for one. That consistently got brushed over - in fact people spoke about his poor supporting cast in his Junior year. At Alabama. Nuts. I don't think there's much of a team to tear apart - we blood and guts'd our way to 7 wins last year, but that was about the ceiling of that roster. A new GM, given license, would obliterate this roster - there's very few 'good' NFL players on it and essentially no 'elite' ones.
  19. I think it was also very easy to watch Young play in College and see how his movement and escapability wouldn't translate to the NFL. Which it hasn't.
  20. Sounds very much like something a 20-something Steve Smith would say when faced with criticism...
  21. Dalton has been on 5 NFL teams in the last 5 years - the NFL thinks he's washed. Why should he be better than Young right now? Young was the #1 overall pick that we traded FIVE premium players to select him there. Hell the coaching staff didn't even have an open QB competition in Training Camp because they thought Young would be much better than Dalton.
  22. Screens, swing passes and anything up to 15 yards down the field between the hashes. Y'know, high school QB level throws.
  23. If you say so. I'm still waiting for him to hit a 15 yard out.
