Sometimes the answer isn't on the roster (or in the building). It should be a clean slate - including every single scout.

So was he lying to our faces then when he said this roster was better than last year? He's either disingenuous or incompetent. Neither are traits I want in someone working for the Panthers.

There was speculation that the coaches we interviewed were the ones interested. i.e. they back channelled everyone and didn't extend an interview invite out to those who weren't interested to save public embarrassment. No way Harbaugh or Belichick want this job.

You can't possibly look at our roster and think "Yeah we were only Stroud (or a QB) away". Don't get me wrong, Young is horrifically bad, but the roster is talent depleted and the stars we've traded away (Moore / CMC) that would help now were drafted by a different GM. Tepper will fug it up, but we needed a complete reset in the Front Office. Otherwise Stroud (or whoever) is just patching a hole on a sinking ship.

I think it's the opposite. Bryce Young is the elephant in the room that needs to be addressed in the interviews. Everything from "How would you tailor an offence around his skillset" to "What would your plan be to move on from him this season" should be on the table. Sadly I don't think Tepper is man enough for that conversation, so he'll force Young, Tabor and Evero on the next guy.

Oh I'm sure he'll be back - which is why we're such an awful franchise.
