  1. I'm in the same boat - can only hope Morgan has fired him as his first act in charge. Hated the interview Suleiman gave last offseason (when we were getting ALL the coverage as the holder of the #1 overall pick) where he talked about scouting players. You're the Salary Cap guy, my guy. Stay in your lane.
  2. I mean the best GM of recent years was also a HoF TE. Doesn't mean Morgan will be good.
  3. It's both. The eye test said don't draft him (small, noodle arm, stacked roster at Alabama). The measurables said don't draft him (5'10", 185lbs). We now have empirical evidence in hard and fast numbers that he isn't an NFL player - yet still they call for him to start next season. It's maddening.
  4. But they HAVE spent their resources on trying to create some sort of offence. FA signings in Hurst, Sanders, Thielen, Chark and a second round pick on Mingo. They were not bad players when we acquired them.
  5. It's insanity to run a guy out there that isn't an NFL calibre player at the most important position in professional sports. The NFL thinks Andy Dalton is washed - he looked LIGHT YEARS better than Young in his one start. Young has had 16 games. To quote an amazing film: he has been weighed, he has been measured and he has been found wanting. I'm genuinely baffled that anyone wants to see anymore of him - albeit I was also genuinely baffled that we traded up and selected him.
  6. I bet it's the other way round - neither Harbaugh or Belichick would give Tepper an interview.
  7. The only person in that room that should be retained is David Tepper - and that's 'cos we can't fire him. The last three Drafts have been catastrophically bad. The trades have been even worse.
  8. It's the most important appointment Tepper is ever going to make. Of course he'll get it wrong.
  9. He's had 16 games. His stats so far are in record breaking territory (the bad kind). The only reason that's the case is because he was the #1 overall pick (that we traded 5 premium players for) and he was going to be run out there regardless of performance. Any other QB performing that badly in NFL history has been benched. Yet some of you think we need more time to evaluate him. He's clearly a bust. It's a sunk cost - Tepper should understand those. If we want to bring this franchise back to anything approaching respectability we need to hire a GM who plans for a future without Bryce Young starting this offseason.
  10. We don't have an NFL calibre QB under a rookie contract.
  11. Bring in a FA QB so we're at least competitive in 2024. I can't stomach another season like 2023 and judging by the 3/4 empty BOA neither can the season ticket holders.
  12. I did as he's proven over 16 games that he's not an NFL QB.
  13. Absolutely bonkers to design the offseason appointments around Young.
  14. Imagine drafting Bryce Young and then getting promoted. Talk about failing upwards.
  15. Doesn't Zac Taylor call the plays in Cincinnati?
  16. CJ Stroud? One that is tall enough to see over the iOL, has the arm to make every NFL throw and has the footwork to navigate the pocket.
  17. You also don't tend to sack your first year head coach 11 games into the season, or trade 5 premium players for a 5'10" noodle armed choir boy... so y'know, who knows how it works anymore.
  18. Sometimes the answer isn't on the roster (or in the building). It should be a clean slate - including every single scout.
  19. So was he lying to our faces then when he said this roster was better than last year? He's either disingenuous or incompetent. Neither are traits I want in someone working for the Panthers.
  20. "Hi Dan, welcome in. Ok, first question - explain to me the thought process behind trading 5 premium players for the biggest bust in NFL history". I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan (a bigger one of those than I am a Carolina Panthers fan) and I have his Panthers jersey - if I'm saying he needs to leave and rebuild his career that's something.
  21. He went to Alabama - their S&C programme wouldn't look out of place in the NFL.
