I'm with you on Miller. I was skeptical before the draft. I couldn't be happier to see him playing as well as he is. He also looks like one of the only players that actually gives a damn. Who would hate on him at this juncture? Depending on where we will pick in the upcoming draft I would absolutely entertain all scenarios to upgrade our team and most importantly the culture. Only untouchables at this point should be Miller and Mark.

I'm not blaming any of them for doing their jobs. And I'm not absolving the Panthers. I'm acknowledging what transpired. All anyone had to do was watch the game film. We had Scott Fitterer who thought he was a next level big brain and passed on Stroud because he didn't score well on a flavor of the month test. Could be that the Tepper's had involvement and pushed for Bryce. I think they wanted Bryce largely in part due to how he sold the Tepper's on his personality. We can only speculate. But the problem this creates is Dan Morgan was right there in the thick of it and we're expecting him to fix this roster. I'm trying to be hopeful but yeah...

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I'm not saying Bryce is a bad person or that he is necessarily wrong to do what he did. That's for another debate. All I'm saying is it is perfectly okay to acknowledge that Bryce Young and his agents did engage in deception and game the system to a degree at the combine to retain his draft stock. Because they know what would have happened otherwise.

Oh I'm not at all absolving the Tepper's and their hired yes men believe me. If you want a scathing assessment I believe the decision makers preferred Bryce over CJ for reasons not entirely about performance on the football field. And they deserve every bit of the ire directed their way for such foolishness.

Bryce Young got a lot of cover from the media due to playing for Alabama while CJ Stroud was portrayed as a pretty much an idiot and vilified for his upbringing. It shows not much has changed with the draft process unfortunately.

It's just simple bias no different than anyone else. The ironic thing is for all of his criticisms of DJ Moore he was fairly staunchly complimentary of Robbie Anderson. That worked out well.

From college to the NFL his deep passing accuracy has been mediocre at best. This isn't a claim. It's reality. You can hope he somehow finds a way to turn these issues around without pretending it isn't happening.

Cam never fully honed in his throwing mechanics until the 2018 season and by then it was sadly too late. But he could make franchise QB throws look easy that Bryce Young could only dream of currently.
