You just have to laugh it off. -
Bryce Young's YPA for this game so far (5.3) is good for 40th in the NFL amongst qualified passers. https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/yardsPerPassAttempt/dir/desc

We're winning with an impressive performance from a defense 28th in spending and another impressive game from Rico Dowdle. Not much has changed behind center. -

Shocked we're winning. Our leading rusher has the same number of yards as our QB. -

Defense actually did something. Offense better reward them. -

Already punting -
His best game to date. Unfortunately he then followed it up with a horrendous drubbing that resulted in a blowout shutout by the Jaguars who were starting CJ Beathard at QB. Thus is the conundrum that is Bryce Young.

That was not directed at you to be clear it was speaking generally to the tone revolving around the topic as I've encountered rather fierce pushback regarding even vague criticism of Morgan and people digging in when forming a defense of him and just a few weeks ago who have since gone completely quiet after we got top to bottom dismantled by the Bills in a brutal loss that was fueled significantly by Andy Dalton's horrific performance. Realistically putting aside the emotional attachment to Morgan as a former player it is completely illogical to give Dave Canales all the smoke but then shield the guy who was here throughout the bulk of Scott Fitterer's time as GM. He should be getting just as much of a hard look as our head coach is because they supposedly made decisions together and Dan Morgan himself fully signed off on Canales anyways. If one goes they both should.
-
You guys are just going to have to accept the fact that Dan Morgan is a mid GM best case scenario currently. I used to have people get very belligerent over defending Scott Fitterer too. And that's not hyperbole. People used to go to bat for that guy like he was blood related. We have a truckload invested in the OL and what do we have to show for it? The whole unit is already banged up including one of our big signings. Even without all that the group has largely taken a step back from last year in pass protection. Then you get to the QB room and there's only two conclusions you can make about Dan Morgan. Either he deliberately ignored it two years in a row on his own accord or he took orders from Tepper to do so. Either scenario says he's not fit to be an NFL GM.

Panthers activate G Chandler Zavala from IR

As far as the injuries to the OL go it's unfortunate but this is still the highest paid unit in the entire league. Get out there and make it work. -
You need look no further than Ejiro Evero to know that ultimately Dave Canales takes his orders and does what he is told. He agreed to the terms of the Tepper's calling the shots but he held out for a long term contract in the event they tried to make him fall on his sword like Frank Reich did. That's the situation. It's plain as day.

Sure would have been nice to when Zach Frazier was just sitting around. -

Kaye: Panthers not likely to be "sellers" at trade deadline
frankw replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
There's also the reality that we've been trading away players consistently the last few years and ultimately it hasn't helped. Many of them have looked even better. Just let it play out and revisit. -
Cam's deep ball was a beauty. There was a game where he got Ed Dickson damn near 200 yards while Greg Olsen was out. And that was in 2017 before his arm fell apart. This is why when I see the new definition of a "deep pass" I roll my eyes damn near to the back of my head.

Losing big to the Magic at home... oy vey. We should have kept PJ Washington over Miles Bridges. At least when the rookies are playing sloppy basketball we can chop it up to youth. Miles Bridges singlehandedly sabotaging us on both ends for the bulk of the game is just awful.

Panthers Sign QB White to roster; Christensen on IR
frankw replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
With Canales I'm not nearly as concerned about his mismanagement of the RB situation (which you could argue is being overblown to a degree yes) as I am with how woefully inept he is at preparing coaching and managing his team on gamedays against opponents and their coaching staffs with winning records. The team has been blown off the field too many times under his watch now. But I will concede that even if we fire him we will just end up with another figurehead of sorts. It's plainly obvious or at least it should be that our ownership is still meddling and pulling strings. -

Chuba definitely isn’t "garbage". I also don't think it's fair to label him a JAG if he is indeed not 100%. Then again if he isn't why was he playing at all already if we have Dowdle and Etienne who are capable? Although it is fair to ponder in terms of Chuba's production the last two seasons what his normal is because we have the highest paid OL in the entire league currently and that's only going to increase when we extend Icky.
