We traded Moore? Damn. This is very bittersweet. Thrilled with this but damn. I hope he doesn't go on to thrive. That's going to sting.

Sam Darnold cannot hold Matt Moore's jock. I'd even argue Kyle Allen looked better than him albeit brief.
-
Let me help you. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/D/DarnSa00.htm He couldn't beat out Mayfield in camp and he had the lowest completion percentage since his rookie year. Some of you just can't help but make excuses for the worst QB's in our history

Ryan Poles trying to drive up the cost of the #1 pick
frankw replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
He long contended the Darnold trade was a good one. He was also a Rhule fan who blasted the team when we fired him. In short if the team is doing the opposite of what he wants consider that a good thing. -
Later in the year we're gonna get a thread about this after every Niners game. Just buy his jersey ya'll.

He's the same flawed quarterback he was five years ago with the Jets. He has not developed. You guys want to blame Adam Gase Matt Rhule and whatever other boogeyman you can find when it's ultimately up to Sam to change his habits. Look no further than his last start. Worse than any we've seen with even Jimmy Clausen. You're telling me that guy has been giving it his all to improve and wants to be a hall of famer and win Super Bowls? He had 19 million reasons and many more to get out there and put Baker Mayfield in the rear view in camp and by his own words he could not be bothered. Keep playing the blame game like you owe him something though.

The jimmies will be rustled. That does sound like someone else we know.

If he's the pick I'd roll with it. He has been the most hated out of the QB's here and we know the huddles track record with that so who knows what could happen.

Some of those injuries are probably just plain bad luck. Then there are some players who are just different and have a rare mentality like 89. If we hadn't drafted Matt Corral and seen that hope kicked off a bridge like Ron Burgundy's dog I would probably be more inclined to be hopeful for Bryce. But as it is I would still find reason to be positive if he were the pick due to our coaching staff. We'll see 🫡

It would be hilarious if he went on to have a fairly productive career. Meanwhile we've got weirdos here finding reasons to praise Sam Darnold for defeating the Saints with one of the worst passer ratings in history

They're all big risks but I'd opt for AR if this is my only other option.

It's that time of year for hopium I get it man I'm with you. But we don't have the Bama oline and we won't be going up against scrub college teams full of updrafted players. There is plenty to like with Young but Cam Luck and Brady are 6'4 and up and Rodgers is 6'2. If Russell Wilson Kyler Murray Sunny Jurgenson Doug Flutie and Eddie LeBaron are the comparable 5'11 and below success stories we can at least acknowledge the odds.

Honestly I think people are going daffy convincing themselves he'll survive in the NFL. I'd support him as the pick but history is history and it is not on his side. And we have to do the annual thing again in the coming months where we acknowledge our oline is better but still a work in progress. Speaking of injuries. Isn't Young coming off one to his throwing shoulder? No flashbacks there. https://www.nationalfootballpost.com/columns/features/the-nfls-best-short-quarterbacks-of-alltime/

He's smaller than Corral who got pummeled last year in preseason. The draft needs to hurry up.
