  1. If we drafted one of the top QB's and signed Jimmy to be the veteran maybe I could get on board. But only Jimmy G?
  2. The man was outplayed by an aging Andy Dalton lol. Some people really live for trying to polish not just mediocrity but horrific QB play. Man this team needs a real franchise quarterback and someone who will shake things up and drive out this pitiful culture.
  3. They did? Last I heard they got blown out in the conference championship.
  4. People are defending Kunkel now? Get a grip and some sunlight.
  5. I don't know why anyone gives Will Kunkel any level of credence. Let the rumors fly. Regardless it's much better knowing for sure one way or the other we are going to make some kind of big move. I'll hope for the best whichever QB we end up drafting.
  6. Idk it would be entertaining to see the reactions here if we actually engaged in talks with the Ravens.
  7. I would roll the dice on him if the other top 2 QB's were already off the board.
  8. I was not referring to you with that. I don't think he's stupid he just doesn't process the field well enough to be an elite quarterback. But he also seems like a very laid back guy. Those two together will get you a massive bust picking that guy in the top 3. To quote John Fox. It is what it is.
  9. If it was normal compared to his peers he would still be a Jet and one of the 100+ million dollar young QB's who are the faces of the league now. He has the physical build and talent to be one of the GOAT's. If he can't be motivated to switch things up to beat out Baker Mayfield in training camp that's a wrap. It's amusing that discussing these truths about a QB we didn't even draft triggers some people the way it does.
  10. Nah bud. Not gonna let it slide. Not after years of folks questioning #1's commitment to his craft based on nothing not even whispers. If he had said some stupid poo like that he would have rightfully been blasted by most people across the fanbase. Darnold is a third overall pick. He isn't some late rounder.
  11. I can't disagree with our decision not to try and go for Lamar but I will say it's cringe af people don't want him yet will still talk up someone like Darnold. The ol' baby goat mentality is still at it.
  12. He openly admitted he did not bother to change anything about how he prepared when he was competing with Baker Mayfield in camp last year. After the team that drafted him moved on and he had a very putrid season in 2021. Does that sound like a QB who is destined for and wants greatness? He's a nice guy and a good teammate. Based on that I'd say it's a safe bet he's mostly content with just playing QB as long as the ride lasts and taking what he can get. You guys that want to stick up for him are cute but I just give you sideye because he's literally a lesser Jameis Winston.
  13. So does Jameis. Doesn't mean we need to sign either. And Darnold has already told you guys the deal you don't listen. QB is just a job to him. He is not concerned about going to the hall of fame or being a Super Bowl winning quarterback. You can hype his physical tools all you want. Doesn't mean anything if he doesn’t want to be great.
  14. Because of his position on Lamar? I'm not in favor of trying to acquire him either but this is an overreaction man. Besides there have been worse and more insufferable positions taken by posters here like those who dickride Darnold or wanted us to break the bank for Carr.
  15. Man things have gone downhill since he popped off to Jonathan Stewart like he was a future hall of famer. He'll be 30 in May. He better stop acting like a big shot and get off social media and onto the field to work on his craft or that contract money he got from us (robbery) will get burned through quick.
  16. Selecting him without giving up future picks is one thing. Trading up from nine to take a QB who is shorter and lighter than Matt Corral is a very risky move for a GM who needs a legit QB now.
  17. The QB market is so wild right now Geno Smith just got 105 million. And still there are people scared of trading up for our own guy
  18. We are not going to lose enough games to get the first overall pick we can't even get into the top 3. We've had our chances the last 3 years either this year or next we are going to have to make a bold move. And hyping next years class is just more of the same. When next year rolls around the hype will start to slow like always then the usual people will get cold feet again. The front office can't operate that way.
  19. Right that's why Fitterer/Reich better backup the "aggressive" talk and not get left in the wind. Hopefully they aren't anything like some of the wallet pinchers here or we're in trouble.
