  1. How does any of this make a difference if Bryce Young isn't seeing the field adequately enough? How does one throw not one but two awful pick sixes to the same defender?
  2. This is incredibly vague. First of all what is your definition of struggling? Just turning the ball over making rookie mistakes while still scoring touchdowns has been fairly common with good to great quarterbacks in their rookie seasons. But simply looking like they don't physically belong at times? That's something different altogether. Not what you want to see from any first overall pick. Like I said in another thread. It's giving Johnny Football vibes.
  3. All homerism aside we are fitting our offense to Bryce Young's phsyical limitations and it shows. Howell is a young QB who has turned it over a lot but he doesn't have those same limitations and he has deep ball ability. I've said all along I'm giving Bryce until the end of the season to show me something but we can't change who he is physically so my gut says we traded up to 1 to draft a game manager type of QB at best. It's a rough time to be a Panthers fan. He's a young QB turnovers are going to happen. But he's still moving the ball downfield and scoring touchdowns. I could live with BY turning the ball over if he weren't still hovering around bottom of the league in key statistics. It's not good no matter who else you want to blame man. You're going to have to begin acknowledging reality. Good luck.
  4. The Commanders are as big of a dumpster fire as us they've given up 44 sacks compared to our 29 and still Howell is 4th in the league in passing yards per game and 7th in the league in touchdowns. Enough with the excuses.
  5. We can only speculate his influence. But he's been in on just about every draft pick phone call and he finds a way to get his mug in there at any significant press conference. Then there were the remarks Reich made about differences in ownership approach. The only question now is how much is he actually dictating to Scott Fitterer on major decisions. At this point one would have to be very naive to believe Mr. and Mrs. Tepper didn't influence at some level the decision on who to pick at #1. They didn't hide who they wanted. Until they change their ways we will continue to flounder and embarrass ourselves.
  6. Cringe doesn't even begin to describe that. But sadly they are still in a much better position than us and they are on their backup QB's. We are a joke. Worse than a punchline.
  7. I like you Scot. But after dozens of posts of you telling me and others in a condescending manner that David Tepper isn't a meddler this is very delicious. 2297baa2-aa36-462d-884d-a4eec51249db.mp4
  8. Many people expressed concern about the level of involvement from Mr. and Mrs. Tepper in the process but others here who are still dying on that hill or have gone missing after last weekend shouted everyone down and attacked.
  9. Considering what we've invested I really wish I could disagree. But it's there in the tape the eye test doesn't lie.
  10. If we had drafted this kid in the mid rounds your constant anguish on his behalf might have some semblance of sense given the risk vs reward of the investment. But we all know that's not the case. What it boils down to for you and some others is you simply do not want anyone poking holes in your bubble to cope with our current predicament. You should create your own community and go live out that fantasy as you see fit.
  11. Did Bagent throw 2 pick sixes in the same game to the same defender? Worse by far? Facts say no.
  12. If your immediate instinct isn't to question the ownership and front office but to blame the fanbase maybe it's you. The fans will support anyone who isn't the worst starting QB in the NFL in multiple statistical rankings. Also some of your ramblings make it sound like no one could have possibly predicted Stroud would be so good. As if his arm talent didn't practically slap you in the face on his game tape. It was always there for anyone to see.
  13. Bryce Young still has the lowest yards per pass attempt and QBR in the NFL. But keep blaming everything and everyone else.
  14. When you trade what we did to select a QB at 1 and our passing game looks as bad or worse than we did with Bridgewater Darnold or Mayfield this is what you get. What's astonishing to me is folks like yourself think people are required to watch this and clap like idiots.
  15. Not the worst. Probably not even our worst. He didn't draft himself. But he's making a great deal of money regardless. He'll be okay.
  16. Smaller QB who dominated in college but looks very ordinary in the NFL? We drafted our very own Johnny Manziel. Just minus the personal baggage.
  17. Of course this clown wouldn't even log on today after all his bluster toward others. Fairweather ass mfer.
  18. This post is peak cope. We lit Stroud up at BOA just a week ago. How did his OL and weapons help him? How did his defense help him? Noah Brown his top receiver had barely 900 career yards over 5 seasons entering today's game. You guys pretending he has a stellar cast are high af on copium. At least be upfront about it and stop trying to pass off this drivel as anything less.
  19. This is the lowest form of coping with the pick. Constantly comparing this kid to hall of famers has led us to this point. Doubling and tripling down is simply insane. Log out!
  20. If every NFL executive and NFL scout were infallible and all knowing light-years beyond the average fan then half of the teams in the league wouldn't be changing GM's and scouts on a frequent basis.
  21. I'm a Melo guy but all homerism aside it's concerning. Just gotta hope he can shake it off.
