He was two faced right out of the gate with his starting quarterback. Pretty big red flag there. Only misery and hilarity around the position ensued following that debacle. He was a fraud from the beginning. It's rather amusing looking back at how some fans wanted nothing to do with other candidates like Mike McCarthy. Guess folks got who they deserved

Like most things it's somewhere in the middle. It's still possible for the Panthers to win the division because of how awful the NFCS is but as far as facing a playoff team it's going to go similarly as the recent loss to the Bengals. They took us to the woodshed and they aren't even as formidable as they were last year. The Cowboys are whooping playoff teams with Cooper Rush. I don't trust Darnold at all he's earned his reputation and the longer we start him it's just a matter of waiting for the other shoe to drop when he starts turning the ball over. Nothing has changed.

What is this mess about the Panthers curb stomping the Cowboys? How did that go last year? They stomped tf out of the Vikings recently too. I get being optimistic but some folks here are just nuts.

He is who he is one game doesn't change anything we keep learning the same lesson over and over it is maddening. The only QB from this season that should be on the roster next year is Corral.

Even if the Panthers like Wilks a lot it would be insane not to go through a process and weigh different options to make sure you got the right guy. This is extra important after seeing what we got with our last hire and ultimately how wrong that decision proved to be.

People should worry less about the "haters" and more about raising the standards of the franchise. If Tepper can finally shift from clownshow in the news mode 24/7 and nail the coaching hire most of the "haters" will disappear.

Tepper has to be seething right now. I imagine in the next couple of days we are going to get some "sources say" scorched earth remarks.

If someone is actually thinking playoffs with Sam Darnold they must be very new to football or just deranged.

Massively overpaying two guys like Batum and Hayward within five years of one another would be more than enough to confirm a franchise needs an enema from top to bottom. The sad thing is Gordon makes Nic seem more likeable by comparison. What a dick.

This franchise just makes horrific decisions and it begins with Jordan. Sell the team already.

The whole team was in a funk that game IMO the only possible change that may have affected the outcome was if 89 were still on the team. The way the Broncos were playing us he would not have let us go down without a scrap. But the league without a doubt wanted Manning to get his second ring after how thoroughly embarrassed he was in Super Bowl 48. If you ask me he's overrated AF and only actually won one ring. Fug him.

Yeah I can agree with that. I'd still take him over any of this lot in our QB room for the short term though. I just want us to develop a QB of our own. I don't know that Wilks is the man for that job though. I could be wrong we'll see.

You have a point but I wouldn’t lump him in with Allen yet. Don't read too much into the word keeper it wasn't a suggestion he has arrived or he will certainly take the next step it's just a matter of he looks the part and obviously they aren't just going to let him walk without seeing more. But through 5 starts he has a 68.8 comp % and Sam Darnold can't even get to 60%. When considering the results post Darnold trade they are doing better than us as sad as it may be that's the truth.

Sam Darnold's former team seems to have themselves a real keeper in Mike White. Meanwhile in Carolina we're still hoping Darnold will morph into a franchise quarterback. You know what they say about the definition of insanity right?
