  1. Yeah let's not tempt the football gods. For however Pride may have been playing before the guy is clearly struggling rn try to keep things classy. Don't like to see that for anyone. Hoping this secondary depth is up to the task in the NFC south. Gonna be a long season.
  2. All that matters is it's a far sight better than what we've suffered through since 89 left and those years of never having a viable #2 receiver even when he was here.
  3. Grier is what he is but it helps when the receiver catches a pass in his chest.
  4. Weird you're this pressed about a rookie getting a little praise.
  5. Will Grier looking like Zach Galifianakis from Masterminds.
  6. For the signing to matter he has to see the field and that's the question. Doesn't seem like he is that concerned about football anymore.
  7. Definitely should have brought another kicker to camp. Needed competition not fluff about how ripped Joey is.
  8. Credit to PJ Walker for answering the bell today. Very happy to see some big threat potential in Hubbard. Marshall Tremble and Smith look ready to contribute. Too bad kicker looks like the same hit and miss sad factory. Really gotta put emphasis on red zone efficiency.
  9. Looks like Joey Slye is going to have another busy season.
  10. Marshall is destined for big things. This team really needs to finish drives though.
  11. Publicly trashing the receivers in camp more than once might've been a clue.
  12. Can't count your chickens before they hatch. You have to consider many variables such as the length of the season and the possibility of other starters missing time. BC is likely to see the least time out of them but I can definitely see Marshall being involved a good bit in the fall for his redzone abilities. Also Carolina's corner depth isn't something to write home about and we're still hoping Donte Jackson will become more consistent.
  13. Half a dozen within an hour so far. Keep going! But the toxicity here is so hard on you though right?
  14. Well they stand in the way of second in the division rn so I assure you someone in Carolina considers them relevant.
  15. We've heard the reasoning. Doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong yet. It is peculiar though regardless of the scrimmages earlier in the week. Horn isn't going to face a light workload in this division with the likes of Brady and Ryan twice a year.
  16. I can see that I suppose as he isn't a rook. Yet T Marshall and B Christensen but no J Horn? Agree that preseason is becoming less and less neccessary for risk but if our first rounder can't even see some action why even put either of the first 3 picks out there? We got the Taints week 2 these fellas are going to get tested early.
  17. So Ian Thomas isn't playing. Has he earned himself a roster spot already?
  18. @iamhubby1 you might as well just poop every post I made today if this is the best thing you've got going on game day big guy
  19. I set the bar that high because that's likely the only scenario that the majority of Carolina fans would put aside bias and agree. Let's just be honest we know our fanbase. Two notable long term starters in 25 years. Dominance is the only thing that is going to keep these fans from swooning at the sight of other quarterbacks we may have had a shot at.
  20. Good to luck to Walker and Grier behind this oline
  21. Unless Darnold looks like an mvp candidate and the Panthers dominate it's going to be one of the most prevalent topics around here so you might as well get used to it
  22. Well of course none of us here can make truly definitive statements unless we have a time machine or a crystal ball handy. Mike Vick only reached 60-62% completion as a passer twice in his career though and one of those was in his final year. Alex Smith was pretty good for a time but never seemed to be able to get over the hump. Not all of that is on him mind you but still his career is what it is. It remains to be seen if the same will apply to Tannehill he has some damn good talent around him there is no reason they can't make a run. For the time being I would be fine with an Alex Smith or Tannehill level as Sam is still quite young at 24. He has weapons and a capable coordinator and head coach in his corner. The time is now. Honestly I very much agree with you about the Saints. I can't stand them but I worry about Payton still giving us fits even with Taysom and Jameis. He made Teddy look like a starter!
  23. You can see that Rhule is a good coach in many important ways in both his day to day approach and his knowledge of the game. He gets his players to buy in and he seems to have an eye for talent in important areas. But qb is a different ball game. Some pretty good head coaches have been shown the door because they failed to identify the right one in a timely manner. He really needs Darnold to be a slam dunk.
