Idk we might have won a few more games with Borrego but he wouldn't be much different from Clifford. He would be taking the hardline calling the players out about not playing defense but Mark Williams would still be on the bench while Plumlee plays all the minutes. Moving on from JB isn't the problem it's what's transpired since. Which is the story of the MJ era Hornets in a nutshell.

"Well you see if you remove three of the most important games of the season which were losses and ended our postseason hopes things actually weren't that bad."
-
I'm prepared for us to make a run at him I guess.
-
Love Wilks can't stand the 49ers but happy he got himself a new gig.
-
Hopefully you're right but Raiders are gonna Raider

Endless restructures on iffy contacts is what Marty Hurney did for years that led us to the "cap hell" so many here complained about for so long. Weird that's gone out the window again. But alright
-
People are still buying that hype? And zero percent chance all they ask for is a mid rounder.
-
Meh he knows he wanted to leave and go to a contending team and he has a connection to Philly. He was vocal about his aggravation with the team at times on Twitter that season too. He's in a better situation which is what he wanted. Enjoy the moment it might not come around again take it from us.
-
Obviously referring to if we get antsy and try to trade for him. I'm hopeful Fitterer has learned his lesson. He knows this is his last chance to get QB right. Can't do anything foolish though. This would fall under that.
-
He said he won't take a paycut. He's been averaging about 13 million per season on his current deal. So 26 million minimum. Yeah that has a bit of a Hurney vibe to it sorry if you guys don't want to hear it but I thought we were done building our team overinvesting in linebackers and running backs.
-
Hopefully the Niners defense falls off a cliff.
-
30 million a year!? And what if he is proven to be damaged goods? He'll be 32 when training camp rolls around. We can't afford to take an L on another high risk signing like that.
-
He'll be 29 in April. Giving an aging linebacker a "sensible" extension sounds like a Marty Hurney move. That's how we want to run things again?
-
They're going to draft who they want regardless. Just don't throw the bank and draft picks at Derek Carr. It will only end in catastrophe.
-
Brian Burns has a more legitimate beef to actually say something like this. He's been on a rookie contract this whole time. Shaq's been off that deal for years. But keep caping.
-
Caping doesn't make you superior either. You aren't going to get an "attaboy" big guy.
-
If any Panthers player ever had a legit right to call out fans it was Cam Newton. But he never did not once. Not even now after all has been said and done. But after several losing seasons and zero winning seasons you want to call out your fans?
-
Literally this gif
-
Other former and even current Panthers have gotten way worse treatment via social media. I don't see Sam Darnold going on Twitter calling out fake fans or haters.
-
I don't see us getting a clear upgrade over him this season. He's a great guy and a great teammate. But calling out any fans is not a good look. Like what they have to say or not they pay your bills and fatten your bank account. No fans? No business. Why do athletes who do this not understand the concept?

The third pick is most realistic. People aren't going to want to give up what the Bears will ask for #1.
-
He's pretty much the same height as Baker don't overthink these photos. You're entering Ron Burgundy territory here.

Ellis Williams. How to turn the Panthers around in one year
frankw replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well we already have a young QB on the lighter side on the roster his name is Matt Corral. We saw how that went. Sounds dicey to add another to the roster and with the cost of a top ten pick to boot. -

For context and compairson take a gander at Murray's injury history and probability moving forward. https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/kyler-murray/10217 If we take him I'll accept and support. But comparing him to guys 6'4-6'5 that also have at least 20-25 lbs on him is hilarious. If he didn't play for Bama this wouldn't even be a discussion. -

Are any of them basically the size of a young Steve Smith playing QB? Favre 6'2 Rivers 6'5 Eli Manning 6'5 Brady 6'4 Now let's do Bryce.
