  1. The two E's mostly got a lot of flack bc of their lack of availability which for a lineman is obviously key. But to see Paradis abused by backups that badly is very discouraging. I'll take whatever improvement we can find but from here it looks like C is a need in the next draft for sure.
  2. Conditional compensation based on how many games he plays is the only way a trade like this goes down the receiving team holds all leverage. But odds are this just another attempt to drum up clicks.
  3. I would have given up a sixth for a quality backup. We're left deciding between PJ or Grier.
  4. I was encouraged but concerned about this line and I don't have much confidence in our backup quarterbacks. G Minshew just went to the Eagles for a conditional sixth round pick. We should have made an offer.
  5. I thought we would be able to get another season out of Paradis but it's looking iffy. We still should have had a solid backup alternative in mind if not just good depth as a precaution. With all the talk of left tackle center has been overlooked as if we had a younger Ryan Kalil there and that just isn't the case. Now we've snapped back to reality
  6. The Panthers can do better and they are. Smith was correct in the things he said but Slye is like 28th in average salary. He was always a young cheap temporary solution nothing more. Now we move on to the next alternative. That's the life of an nfl kicker.
  7. The disrespect around here is wild. Players get older. As a rook he dropped almost 900 yards on two defenses. If Sam can scratch the surface of that in the deep passing game we will be cooking.
  8. The last drive was impressive and exactly what we need after a depressing season with the last qb. Now we must get this 1st string oline figured out and ready to go. Put Moton where he is needed most if it's the left so be it but get it sorted asap.
  9. Sam has settled in no complaints great drive. Now the concern is can he survive the season behind this patchwork oline.
  10. @BlackPanther21_ poo away my guy we gotta protect our quarterback.
  11. I figured all along we would be seeking options for center by next year. We got lucky last season Teddy made up for some deficiencies on the line with his mobility. To say this is a work in progress is being kind.
  12. For worst coach I would have to break with popular opinion and go with basically any of our special teams coaches from the Rivera era. Who was the guy it seemed like we took forever to finally fire? Our special teams was just comically awful. For worst player the easy answer is Clausen but the man guided us to a top overall pick. He was good for something. Worst player is a toss up between Eric Shelton or Sione Fua.
  13. Whatever the past was he is now in a polar opposite situation here and the Panthers have gone out of their way to smooth his transition. Time to show out.
  14. Another "you cant spell crap without rap" knuckledragger who likely also complains to his safe friends about rappers being able to use that word while he cant reveals himself to the world. 🗑
  15. There is not any need to be at each others throats over Hurney or DG anymore. They were both failures here. And yet each of them oversaw the two most successful seasons in franchise history that resulted in super bowl appearances. So with that in mind I really see no excuse Scott can't get us into playoff contention relatively soon. Gambling on the likes of quarterbacks like Bridgewater and Darnold might derail this goal if we are being truthful about the odds but hopefully the other pieces in place can help push us forward in the meantime.
  16. There was a time when Hurneymagic memes were frequently featured here. Some want to forget but yes it was a thing.
  17. We're comparing front office executives to draft prospects now? No I never said such a thing. I was on the OT or QB train with the 8th pick and yes I would have been happy with Fields as he was one of my top choices. This was due in large part to the fact that as a Panthers fan I have only seen two notable long term starting qb's in 25 years. It is plainly obvious you need a good one to get anywhere. We went with Jaycee and I accepted that. CB was a need so I hope to see him help shut down these quarterbacks in our division.
  18. Being a Charlotte native I'm accustomed to watching my sports teams lose. But there isn't a form you have to sign that says you will support anything and everything to the fullest and never speak a bad word about anyone with the team. You were mad af at folks calling out Teddy last year and I'm sorry that's still eating away at you but that's sports big guy sometimes we're wrong. I used to be a big Cam supporter but I had to swallow my pride and accept he was done as a Panther. You'll be ok.
  19. Of course not but there is a middle ground somewhere between that and immediate anointment before anything has been proven right? It's his first gm gig just like our last two. Who by the way had their own following at one point especially Gettleman who even had his own catchphrases. There are key qualities to like so far such as SF's clear aggressiveness in making moves and not being afraid to move on quickly. His first draft has plenty of potential. I am hopeful we see some positive results for the upcoming season and from there he will raise his profile with the fanbase.
  20. Let's just see what the win/loss is looking like in '21 and '22 before we trot out the clever monikers and weird mancrush.
  21. Feel free to go ahead and start your own Panthers fan community where only cult like unanimous praise is allowed
  22. There is no point in going back to Temple and Baylor to judge this. As of now he is tied to Bridgewater and Darnold and going 0 for 2 isn't an option. The man needs a hit. The fact such a basic discussion triggers some is a reflection of how long mediocrity has settled in with this fanbase.
