https://nflpa.com/posts/only-natural-grass-can-level-the-nfls-playing-field The data supports the anecdotes you’ll hear from me and other players: artificial turf is significantly harder on the body than grass. Based on NFL injury data collected from 2012 to 2018, not only was the contact injury rate for lower extremities higher during practices and games held on artificial turf, NFL players consistently experienced a much higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries on turf compared to natural surfaces. Specifically, players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries when playing on artificial turf. Of those non-contact injuries, players have a 32% higher rate of non-contact knee injuries on turf and a staggering 69% higher rate of non-contact foot/ankle injuries on turf compared to grass.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, although I haven't really caught much of Penix. The Levis media is running out of excuses, he can't really afford to have another mediocre game if he wants to stay in the 1st round conversations

Also Njigba is still dealing with hamstring issues, he's out again this week. 2 months of that isn't a good look. Quentin Johnston is around but not sure if anyone's projecting him top 10

How bad does PJ need to play to be removed as starter?

Yeah with the Roquan Smith addition they had the Saints looking rough. -
It's crickets every time the tankers get asked who their guy would be

Major cold front moving in, possible snow at Ohio State, close to freezing temps in Kentucky.

I'd look to trade back and then debate whether to go Noah Sewell then a QB in the 2nd, or QB in the 1st and then Justin Flowe in the 2nd. We need a an ILB bad, especially with probably a new coach and Shaq maybe being a cap casualty.

He gains nothing by not being supportive of his team. If he starts again, his teammates will give him credit for being supportive. If he doesn't, when he hits FA he showed he's not being a baby about not being the starter. He obviously has that competitive gene but I'm sure he talked with his wife and family and decided to go with taking an optimistic approach. Lots of things happened at the same time as Rhule leaving so it's hard to evaluate every single situation but the vibe seems to be way better team wide

Yeah obviously the NFL data would show that. There's worldwide soccer studies saying otherwise. Chelsea only came to BOA if they installed grass for 1 game for a reason.

Yeah gotta say this especially being a rain game was much more entertaining than that Broncos/Colts game where it went to OT off 4 field goals each or whatever horrendous stat that was. Mariota doesn't throw the ball when it's dry out and it was obvious why. The only thing missing was getting Ridder to start the 2nd half and looking even worse

That's a boomer quote, these franchise quarterbacks obviously don't grow on trees. We're coming off Brady/Brees/Rodgers/Big Ben/Cam/Prime Wilson etc era. The game is changing but it was also kinda pure luck that the league had 10-15 very good QB's able to play for 10-20 years.

Check out the upcoming FA RB list. Plenty of talent, half the teams will just draft a guy anyway. The supply and demand just isn't in the RB's favor currently. I'd love Foreman back on a 2 year deal, he gets the job done and he's great on the sidelines and in the locker room which should also be taken into account when deciding which of these guys to pay. Probably wouldn't be more than $5-7M total guaranteed but considering the market I think it would be good for both parties https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/running-back//

That is a list of games I have any interest in viewing haha. Granted I only watch college games for future draft possibilities based on general consensus prospects

He's not getting away without at least taking a couple sacks. Too much money, he's never played behind a consistently good O-line, Rhule is gone, zero reason to not give him a couple starts -

Jackie Lee replied to AlphabetsEnd's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm saying he never got a chance for multiple starts, aside from the XFL. Maybe they wanted to see if XFL PJ would translate after getting time to get comfortable -

No he just did the Elon Musk thing and paid $8 a month for a blue check lol. That's gonna be a whole nightmare of misinformation once we get into free agency and draft if Twitter still exists by then. -

Sam and Baker each got 4 years to develop, PJ had 1 start in each of the last 2 years and now has 5. It looks like he's gonna be stuck with the same dangerous throws but it's been worth giving him a few games in a row to see if he can pull it together. We already know Baker and Sam aren't it and won't be back next year unless it's for like $2-5M -
We need the HC/GM situation decided asap so we can get talking to Bozeman and Foreman. Would be a huge loss as a combo, the rest of the O-line and Chuba are still under contract next year
