  1. Yeah, his pro day wasn't even that good lol. Struggled throwing deep to his own guys vs air
  2. We aren't magically going to go .500 the rest of the season like last year just by firing Reich. Also if they had been playing Dalton we'd probably have at least a few more wins. Reich sucked sure but the trades/FA, and drafts picks would handicap any coach
  3. https://www.si.com/nfl/2023/11/28/carolina-panthers-david-tepper-frank-reich-fired-philosophy In other words, six years in, Tepper’s had an interim coach for 22% of his games. How does that happen? Well, it goes back to that saying: Don’t let one mistake become two. “His thing is, the minute it gets bad, it’s going to get worse, so we better try something else,” says one former Panthers staffer. “He’s a hedge fund guy; that’s what hedge fund guys do. The second something stops earning money, they take their money out of it, take the profit and move on to something else.” “He doesn’t care about the money,” says a former Panthers coach. “He looks at it like a stock—you make a poor investment, there’s a sunk cost, boom, you move on.”
  4. I dunno, QB school ignores it too even though he'll kill some draft prospects for clicking their heels once in a while
  5. The issue with PA is he's generally only comfortable about 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage or completely bailing from the pocket. With under center play action he'd have to turn his back, turn around, and have some 6'4 dude breathing down his neck where he proceeds to do his frog jump pass thing about of panic
  6. Not sure how anyone could watch Bryce vs Texas and CJ vs Georgia and decide Bryce would be your NFL qb.
  7. When Cam would go no huddle and march us 80 yards down the field in crunch time...
  8. When has the NFL been a sympathetic sport lol
  9. Yeah they also said his Keisha Cole cover was amazing lol. Horrid
  10. Or either of them letting Bryce run O-line meetings during training camp? lol.
  11. Yeah that with Reich seeming completely unmotivated and I'm assuming Tepper being adamant about playing Bryce even though he doesn't seem ready has been a bad scenario. Judging by the Tabor press so far he's not trying to do anything drastic either lol. I don't blame him really, he's just like I'm gonna ride it out and coach special teams again next year somewhere, not my problem.
  12. Please don't turn my thread into a 2 person pissing contest lol we have enough of those already
  13. Good point by Cam Wolfe that Bryce just too California laid back in the huddle/getting the calls in for them to run effective pre snap motions. That combined with his lazy dropbacks/crazy footwork/hopping in the air to throw is gonna be tough to fix. Almost like you just want a completely different QB
  14. Sounds like the coaching "dream team" was actually too many cooks in the kitchen. I put that on Tepper for doing his usual 180 reactionary move to what didn't work previously with a bunch of college guys with zero experience. 500 years of combined NFL experience! What could go wrong!
  15. Yeah like a true pastor lol. Seems like a weird way to go out for a super religious dude, taking back play calling from Brown so he could go out on his own terms to the detriment of the team. Sounds like it's been a weeks long background distraction that's been stunting any possible growth involving younger players and maybe Brown. At least Tabor sounds like he's going to let Brown do his thing with Caldwell there for him as an advisor. At least Brown is interested in attempting to do a good job for the future of his career vs Reich who was somehow mailing it in but stubborn about his philosophies at the same time
  16. Does he do anything Panthers related besides a couple preseason games maybe? Pretty sure he'd be fine with his NFL network gigs and he just does the pod on the side
  17. Bottom 5 in motion, bottom 5 in play action. Yeah trying to get a 5'10" to throw out of a static shotgun formation wasn't workin. They should just force him into under center play action/ throwing deep shots and see if he can do it or not.
  18. Just started this so dunno if it's any good but it's a long one
  19. Reich said during the offseason this was his last coaching job. Seems like that would be a major red flag during the interview process if it came up, though judging by this and the Rhule hire I don't think Tepper knows how to interview people for the job
  20. Not sure, forgot one of them worked for the team
  21. Yeah, she's grown too, not a little teenager hate tweeting.
  22. Franks daughter liked this tweet with Florio saying Reich didn't want Bryce lol.
  23. Franks daughter out here on Twitter liking and replying
  24. I mean they wouldn't let him qb sneak either which Brees did often. Also looks more than 2" taller here
  25. Yeah generally you wanna play action from under center, but Bryce turning his back to the line, and then turning around and stepping up into a throw seems like a no go with his height
