Here's my best based off camp reports, depth chart release, and the game today. Think we could definitely still be looking to upgrade at offensive line, particularly Tackle, Linebacker, and perhaps Kicker. How does it look? QB (2) Sam Darnold PJ Walker RB (3) Christian McCaffrey Reggie Bonnafon Chuba Hubbard TE (3) Dan Arnold Tommy Tremble Ian Thomas WR (7) Robby Anderson DJ Moore Terrace Marshall David Moore Brandon Zylstra Shi Smith Trenton Cannon Offensive Line (10) Taylor Moton Matt Paradis John Miller Cam Erving Pat Elflein Dennis Daley Deonte Brown Sam Tecklenburg/ TBD Brady Christensen Trent Scott/ TBD Defensive Line (10) Brian Burns Derrick Brown DaQuan Jones Yetur Gross-Matos Marquis Haynes Brayion Roy Daviyon Nixon Morgan Fox Christian Miller Hassan Reddick LB (6) Frankie Luvu Shaq Thompson Jermaine Carter Denzel Perryman Julian Stanford/ TBD Josh Bynes/ TBD ST(3) Joe Charlton Joey Slye/ TBD Thomas Fletcher S (4) Jeremy Chinn Juston Burris Sam Franklin Sean Chandler/ Kenny Robinson CB (5) Jaycee Horn Donte Jackson AJ Bouye Keith Taylor Stanley Thomas-Oliver/ Rashaan Melvin Both guys might make initial roster until after week 2 b/c of Bouye's suspension

Very few of the guys that played in the 2nd half are going to be on the roster in 3 weeks. The 2nd string guys looked good overall in the 1st half. That matters a lot more

Best takeaway from today. Draft class was super impressive. 2019 Draft Class was awful... as much as I want to defend both Greg Little and Will Grier as at least worthy of a roster spot, they sure didn't look like it today...

Who was the best Carolina Panthers player today?

Tremble, Hubbard, and Shi Smith deserve honorable mentions. Draft class looking impressive. Gross-Matos, Sean Chandler, & Kenny Robinson on defense- 77 replies

That was on the receiver... Grier ain't been perfect but he hung in there tough and made the throw... it's a tough catch but that should be caught by a NFL receiver
-
He won't be in 3 weeks

Thank God the last 2 draft classes are looking good bc 2019 outside of Burns is looking like an all-time disaster...
-
I want him to at least be salvageable as a backup... but that was horrific...
-
Kenny Robinson has been balling... I thought he was an afterthought at this point
-
He's looked like legit backup that could come in and win a couple games today
-
And this is without Horn... I imagine he is dying to get out there after watching all these other guys get in on the action
-
Heck of a drive by PJ there. And Shi Smith looked like Steve Smith on that catch!
-
Hell effing yes!! Draft class is balling!!
-
Was that Shi Smith or Steve Smith??!!
-
Zylstra deserves a lot of credit on that Hubbard run. He kept his block forever and allowed Hubbard to escape the corner
-
D Line is gunna be nasty
-
He's looked rock solid so far at RT
-
Absolutely absurd... Tepper needs to spend some money... wait for months and they can't get a broadcast right... smfh

Incredible play by Haynes. Not sure he was down either...

I like Rhule's response a lot. The Panthers were not ready for the intensity yesterday. The Colts obviously wanted to be physical, and the Panthers matched it today. As long as there's not injuries and/or practice ruined, so be it. If they want to be a tough-ass football team, they need to practice like it in the small window of padded practices (especially against someone else) that the CBA allows.

Burns, Brown, Jones, Roy, Nixon, Fox, YGM, Haynes, Miller, & Reddick That's a solid, underrated group. Definitely light years better on paper than what we had last year. We should have fresh guys every down for our pass rush. Along with our revamped secondary, I'm excited about the defense. My only concern is how thin we are at LB and hoping we don't have a repeat of 2019 where we had guys that could rush the QB but absolutely couldn't stop the run. But I'm hoping with the big bodies we got in there that won't be the same issue.

Him and Peppers were a pretty solid duo in 2008. I really thought we had a chance to make it back to the SB that year before Delhomme had his meltdown against Warner and the Cardinals

Looks like Zach Wilson has struggled a lot once the pads came on according to Jets twitter. Even their coach referenced how bad Peyton Manning was his rookie year and he ended up being a Hall of Famer... No excuses- we need to leave Week 1 with a W

Carolina Panthers Training Camp - Thursday Thread
Seltzer replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Reddick had a would-be sack today, and Derrick Brown has been dominating O-lineman all camp long from what I've read (and saw last Saturday) -
This looks so clean and easy, but thats the point.

Amen. The best play I saw from Darnold Sat night at TC was a similar play. He hung in the pocket under pressure and instead of just checking down, he threw a dime on a slower developing 20ish yard route by Tremble that was a perfect tight-window throw that Teddy would almost never attempt. I don't know it was b/c Teddy didn't have confidence in his arm (b/c a throw like that requires a legit NFL arm), or b/c he just was hard-wired to take the sure thing. Maybe a combo of both. Regardless, it's nice to see a QB make that throw. It's been since 2017 Cam that we've had a QB really capable and/or willing to make that throw.
