His contract was for 2M. Sign him up.

Bryce would be a better fit for Shanahan's offense, but they would never trade a qb they know can run their system for one who might be able to run their system. We would have to give us too much to even the scales, and I hope we don't do that.

This is the week BY9 confuses us all again…

Penix sucks too but they will still win easily. Coons 34 Panthers 13. At some point the D will grow tired of having to keep teams under 10. -
Time to Start Roughing Out the '26 Draft--Needs and Pecking Order

I'm ok with Tet over Warren. Warren has looked great but he doesn't have to play with Bryce. -
ESPN's Benjamin Solak on Panthers QB situation
rebelrouser replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was in on Mac Jones after his first start for the 49ers, but upon some reflection and early replies from this board caused me to think there are some problems: 1. he doesn't have a strong arm either but can put some zip on short accurate passes; we would have the same problem with him as we do with Bryce in not being able to stretch the field vertically; 2. he's under contract next year so we would have to give up some draft capital to get him; and 3. is Mac actually a good qb now or is he a product of Kyle Shanahan and his offensive scheme (neither of which will be in Carolina next year)? -
Where does Bryce rank on the all-time draft bust list?

Agree. It was an extremely expensive move down to #1. -
We will definitely win one more probably two.

The Browns had a 1st, two 2nd's (Schwesinger was excellent pick), and two thirds (Fannin was excellent pick), so I guess they felt like they could gamble on a late third qb lottery ticket. You are right though. No need to use a third when everyone else was done w/ the qb's. Hell, the next one to go was Shadeur in the 5th.

What? He stands out to me with a great motor and effort. He'll be fine Go watch that Packers podcast review of the game. That guy was impressed by Scourton.

At this way too early point, i would be very happy with Arvell Reese. He can blitz from the off ball lb position but OSU also lines him up on the edge to rush the passer and he is very effective.

"Number eleven on their team worked his ass off the entire game." That's Scourton. Good to hear.

If I had to guess, I would say the future will be extend Bryce at the end of the season and use our first round pick on a wr for the third draft in a row.

Packers have two qb's better than Bryce. I wonder how many other teams can say that. Definitely 49ers and Bengals.

No one hates Chicago for the trade-raping they did to the Panthers? Or is that part of the Panthers hate? I hate Dallas but because of Dak not Jerry. Jerry is funny and harmless to me and he keeps them down where they belong.

QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)
rebelrouser replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
Are you saying he is a first round talent? He has looked pretty bad this year. I would not take him top 15 and that is where we are likely to be. -
QB 2026 (For the Young Haters)
rebelrouser replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt we finish the year picking 16, but we aren't picking in the top five or even ten the way things are looking. I would say draft Mendoza, Moore, or Simpson with the first round pick. If those are not available, Sellers, Nussmeir, Mateer, or Maiava with the second round pick. I really doubt that happens though. I think we extend Bryce and use pick's 1 and 2 on a LB and RT. The draft is April 23, 2026 and the deadline for extending Bryce is May 1, 2026 so could be interesting next Spring. -
We're giving him credit for finally giving Rico the most touches when everyone in the country could see that for weeks? His play calling to end the game was cowardly and a 49 field goal into the wind bailed him out. Our defense won this game pure and simple.

You forgot the platform shoes. LOL.

Niiiiiice.

SI article about trade deadline but same topic.
