  1. I feel the same way. Not many people was expecting a 3rd round rookie LB to be consistent and play extremely well week in and week out , but you still want to see some splash plays that show that the potential is there. I saw very little of that with Wallace
  2. I would say ILB on 1st down, sometimes 2nd. Edge on the others.
  3. This is Dan Morgan and our scouting department’s Super Bowl. They love their RAS scores.
  4. God forbid I give students an opportunity to compete, commit to a team, and have fun playing in competitive competition. I spend countless hours coaching football and track for very little pay. Do I necessarily always want to? No. But I teach at a small school and frankly no other teachers have stepped up. If I don’t coach, no one else would. That’s why this GIF and the other posters comment earlier get underneath my skin. Have some damn respect, you jerks.
  5. I coach HS Flag in Nevada for the school I teach PE at. It’s actually a really popular sport out here. What are you trying to say?
  6. This is one example of why I haven't gotten married yet. Too much can go wrong. Feel bad for the guy, but his weird behavior airing this out for the world to see kind of explains why she might’ve cheated on him in the first place.. He seems to have issues. I think it’s safe to say all 3 parties can share the blame here. In regards to Steve, he was already a borderline HOF player. All it takes is a few voters to be turned off by this story to keep him out. Voters are human after all.
  7. One of the worst players I saw play this entire season. And I’m talking about all 32 teams and their players.
  8. So you’d like to waste a mid round draft pick on a QB when we have a million other holes to fill? Heck, we could use one of those mid round picks you’d like to use on a QB on an impactful RB instead. It’s a very deep RB class. Also, have you heard of Will Grier and Matt Corral? They sure panned out. Panthers historically can’t draft QB’s past the first round worth a damn. I’m glad you’re not the GM
  9. Any backup vet QB is going to cost around what Dalton got if not more. All NFL teams have to pay “starting safety” money for a backup unless you roll the dice on an unproven rookie. If we didn’t give Dalton “starting safety money” we would’ve given it to someone else. It’s just the reality of the position
  10. My point is, we’re not a team with a loaded roster who critically needs a backup QB to help them tread water to keep them in the playoff race. We’re still a few years away from being a serious contender. Our backup QB is not a huge priority.
  11. We should draft the anti Xavier Legette. Tyler Warren. Great hands but won’t blow you away with athleticism
  12. What’s wrong with a young QB having a mentor? You’re implying that a 3rd year QB should know everything there is about playing QB. Facts are if it isn’t broken, then why fix it? Bryce went out of his way during his SB media interviews to compliment Dalton. He openly supported Bryce even through his struggles. He’s not going to be a backup clamoring to be the starter. He knows the offense, he supports Bryce and probably acts as an extra coach for him with his knowledge and success he’s had in this league. There’s plenty of things to get upset about with this franchise, bringing back Dalton isn’t one of them. Also, you have the right not agree with bringing Dalton back, but atleast offer some other solutions? I haven’t heard you bring up one FA QB you’d rather have? If you do bring up a name, I’m sure I can find issues with that QB because at the end of the day, they are all backups for a reason.
  13. Because Bryce likes having Dalton around. Seems to be a good mentor to him. Plus, why replace a mediocre backup QB with another mediocre QB? If BY goes down we’re screwed regardless of who our backup is
  14. Burden played against a handful of weak opponents too. I don’t see him going for 300+. T-Mac just has the “it” factor. It’s hard to explain. I felt the exact opposite about XL last draft and it’s turning out to be true.
  15. T-Mac Mason Graham Will Johnson trade back
  16. Imagine Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis or Greg Olsen talking the way Cam talks about the Panthers. Cam will always be a mercenary who just happened to play for the Panthers. He’s all about himself. Always has been.
  17. Yes, I would keep him 100%. One silver lining of his injuries is that it might lower his price a tad. Yes, signing him has some risk, but you have to start taking some risks at some point. It would make me sick seeing Horn become an All Pro CB for another franchise knowing we could’ve kept him.
  18. People keep mentioning trading Horn. We’ve let go DJ Moore, CMC, Burns, Chinn, Luvu. At some point we have to start keeping our good players. It’s getting old.
  19. Fair enough. Wasn’t trying to come across condescending. My fault if it sounded that way. And trust me, that would be a dream, but that’s also a dream for thousands of other guys like myself who probably have way better connections.
  20. But what DE at #8 can set the edge AND get 8-10 sacks? I’m genuine curious who you think? For example, Pearce Jr is a pass rush specialist who isn’t an every down player because of his slight frame. He draws a lot of Brian Burns comps. Mykel Williams lacks production/bend even though he excels at setting an edge. Those are two prospects for example, but I could say similar things about Scourton, Walker, Green, Stewart That’s my whole point of my original post. We’d be gambling at #8 if we pick an edge based on their known deficiencies. I’d rather stockpile really good players in the top 10, even if it’s not an ideal position than reach on a prospect. We can’t afford to miss on this pick. We reached on XL and Brooks. How did that work out? I’d rather take an edge in the 2nd (Landon Jackson) for example whose film is just as good, if not better than the guys I mentioned earlier and also get a blue chip player at #8.
  21. “The facility” interview was the worst. Those guys (Acho, James Jones etc) came off like arrogant, rude jerks.
  22. T-Mac would be my first choice because Young needs his #1, but I do agree that we need an edge. The problem is the value at edge.. Besides Abdul Carter, I have the rest of the top edge guys as late first round grades. The position is deep, but all of the top edge guys have at least one major thing that's holding them back. I just don't see the edge value at #8. In the 2nd? Hell yeah.
  23. I’d trade a 1st round pick for Howie Roseman
