  1. Honestly that just sounds like a typical defensive head coach who just thinks it will eventually work until the clock hits 00:00
  2. Tepper desperately wants to be the Steelers so if we lose this game then he's going to be annoyed probably and won't want Wilks as HC
  3. Yeah he was a true pro throughout his time here, great Gettleman pick
  4. He’s doing a damn fine job, I’ll just reiterate what I said last week, revisit this at the end of the season. I did say if he takes us to the playoffs then it’s his job.
  5. Definitely happy for Baker, in a place that fits him better with better coaching. Good coincidence he went up against a pathetic Raiders defense that just looooves to choke away leads. He'll be a backup again next year and that's fine.
  6. McAdoo never asked to have Baker, was a bad fit as soon as we traded for Baker. McAdoo was hired on the premise that Sam Darnold would be the starter and maybe someone we drafted. Sam can actually run the offense and Baker was a complete disaster at it.
  7. Stafford has been hurt since the offseason, then he got placed behind a pretty bad offensive line and zero running game. Goff is healthy behind a good o line with some support in the running game. He's been not great against above average defenses.
  8. It just comes down to NFL teams who are run like a well refined operation. They've got systems in place that work in unison with one another and it allows for success. A rising tide lifts all boats!
  9. That was a cool listen since Sam is so guarded personality wise
  10. He's got to be jumping for joy. Gets to go to LA, work under Sean McVay, and will likely be handed the reigns once more by an NFL franchise at least for this season.
  11. I kept holding out hope but once I saw the farcical QB camp battle this year and the college style punishments of wind sprints and whatever I knew it was probably over.
  12. Wow, I still can't believe how awful he was here.
  13. People actually think this is real? ..... really??? Can't believe Drew Brees would ever fake something for monetary gain, truly unlike him /s
  14. He was impressively average this year, not someone I want on this team.
  15. I'm curious if Spencer Rattler leaves for the draft, would be a nice day 2 pick.
  16. Gamecock fan here so take this with a grain of salt but I've watched him a little this year (not all the games). Rattler 100% has an NFL arm, I'll start there. He can drive the football over the middle of the field or with precision to the sidelines outside the numbers. Gets rid of the ball quickly and decisively and the most impressive trait I've noticed with him is his ball placement, his receivers are in good YAC opportunities because of that and will directly translate to NFL level. His deep ball is not bad but has been especially on in the last 2 games this season, which brings me to my next point... He's a hot and cold player. He certainly has some cockiness and moxie to him and the more confident he is in himself, the better he plays. He makes awful decisions too much, trying to force the issue at times and has terrible turnovers. He's certainly not afraid of any throw, but he needs to decipher the good from bad better especially if he wants to succeed at the NFL level. Rattler has issues with blitzes up the middle, his eyes drop and he ditches the pocket immediately and try play backyard football outside the pocket which he is certainly comfortable with. I'd like to see him stand tall and deliver a strike more or try to evade pressure in the pocket with better footwork. This can be taught and he actually does have a better pocket presence once he trusts the O-line to play better which brings me to my last point... What the actual fudge changed in the last two games against #5 Tenn and #8 Clemson? That's the information that NFL scouts will get that we don't have access to. This offense was straight up dysfunctional and borderline unwatchable for most of this season. Gamecock fans wanted Marcus Satterfield's head on a spike until the last two games, then Rhule just saved everyone the confusion by hiring him as his new OC at Nebraska. But really... did Freddie Kitchens call plays the last two games? Did Beamer finally get on his butt about the offense behind closed doors and told him to simplify the playbook? It's the biggest question for SC fans but regardless Spencer Rattler played on a whole other stream of consciousness at the QB position and for that Gamecock nation thanks him. I would certainly take a flier on him, he's got some talent in there somewhere but likely needs to grow up a little bit and would be a QB guys like to play for. I have no idea if he would be a good leader for an NFL franchise but he can grow into one certainly.
  17. Wilks is doing an admirable job I cannot fault the guy, but I'm not ready to hand the keys to him yet. Let's revisit after the season ends.
  18. He threw DJ open on that awesome bomb up the right sideline
  19. Thank you for the last two games Satt and have fun in Lincoln, probably got a pay raise too which is hilarous
