That candidate list for interviews is absolutely perfect - just got to pray they make the right hire now.

They just need to force a league wide mandate on playing surface in the NFL and hire the blokes over in the UK to come over and teach us a thing or two about maintaining grass for sports to be played on. Some of those soccer fields over there are in such perfect condition it's wild, love watching it on a cozy saturday morning.

Love that the direction seems to be hiring an OC at HC who has been successful in current NFL spot. It's all I could ask for if we were to move off of Wilks. I won't be mad at the hire if they fit that criteria because it'll be the first Panthers HC to ever have those kind of credentials and I feel like hiring coaches is such a crapshoot. Hopefully they can build out a good staff. -

I think there’s certainly a case for it, but I don’t think it’s a great case. He did well this season regardless of today.

He was already employed. He signed up for a sinking ship of a franchise thinking that Darnold would be his QB. Probably not a coincidence that it’s looked the best with him under center.

Maybe a little bit. I’ll just reiterate that Darnold is the QB that McAdoo thought he would be working with when he signed up for the OC gig.

Tepper desperately wants to be the Steelers so if we lose this game then he's going to be annoyed probably and won't want Wilks as HC

He’s doing a damn fine job, I’ll just reiterate what I said last week, revisit this at the end of the season. I did say if he takes us to the playoffs then it’s his job.

Definitely happy for Baker, in a place that fits him better with better coaching. Good coincidence he went up against a pathetic Raiders defense that just looooves to choke away leads. He'll be a backup again next year and that's fine.

McAdoo never asked to have Baker, was a bad fit as soon as we traded for Baker. McAdoo was hired on the premise that Sam Darnold would be the starter and maybe someone we drafted. Sam can actually run the offense and Baker was a complete disaster at it.

Stafford has been hurt since the offseason, then he got placed behind a pretty bad offensive line and zero running game. Goff is healthy behind a good o line with some support in the running game. He's been not great against above average defenses.

It just comes down to NFL teams who are run like a well refined operation. They've got systems in place that work in unison with one another and it allows for success. A rising tide lifts all boats!

He's got to be jumping for joy. Gets to go to LA, work under Sean McVay, and will likely be handed the reigns once more by an NFL franchise at least for this season.

I kept holding out hope but once I saw the farcical QB camp battle this year and the college style punishments of wind sprints and whatever I knew it was probably over. -
