Agreed, backup offensive lineman never have upside and always have a negative that teams will attack. Lack of O line talent in the league pretty much creates this in my opinion.

I always surprise myself with how much of an NFL nerd I can be sometimes. I'm more locked into this thread and updates then I'll be with some Panthers games this year I'm sure.

Yeah I think Zylstra is safe as a ST guy, I did not know Roberts was one of our returners, haven't watched much preseason action other than first half of Patriots game. Out of market struggles. I was trying to find a reason to cut TMJ but I just don't think they're there yet.

This is speculation based on what I remember reading but I think the talent is at least NFL capable but work ethic/attitude not so much.

Chris Simms, who had Corral at #1 on his QB board, had some not nice things to say about Corral's play before injury. Said he looks small out there especially in comparison to other rookie QBs and that he's been bad under pressure when the pocket collapses. On to next year with him....

He's been such a disappointment, just keep him and then let him walk when the contracts up. Just another Devin Funchess type guy.

I’m surprised by the negativity on Corral I really liked what I saw from him especially that first drive. You’re basically watching him get his reps at an NFL level in real time on tv since he’s not getting much in practice at all. His quick release and mobility are awesome traits to have and he needs to lean into that and build up on the mental side to get more comfortable. He’s going to have bad throws and that’s okay, that’s what preseason is for! Treat him like a redshirt freshman and let him develop into a professional should he work hard at it.

Yes for sure, depth is slowly getting better each year and I still think it will be shocking how much better competent QB play from Baker will be compared to Darnold. Also CMC being back and hopefully healthy and a professional NFL Offensive Coordinator will make a big difference too.

Pretty much. I think it's dumb that they are holding him for trade bait too but I think it'll be over soon.
