  1. That's fine. I'll hold him in my heart forever for that Raiders performance, that was vindicating as hell.
  2. Ride with Bryce unless there's a Rams game pt. 2, then you'll have to bench him again. I think everyone agrees a second benching means you're done here. Send Dalton out there for morale and improved play, sign someone off the street if needed. Draft a new QB next year or find a stop-gap QB in the offseason and try to focus on defense during the draft.
  3. We own this franchise for some reason. We win a disgusting matchup 16-14.
  4. This is why I wanted Spencer Rattler sure maybe he isn't that good but he's got a cannon. Honestly? is it crazy to trade for him after this season when the Saints draft a new QB and we have a proper Defense heavy draft?
  5. This isn't directed at CRA or anyone in particular, but as someone who works with large datasets every day, it's funny how you can construe data to fit any particular narrative. I mean this is just a hilarious tweet, a stat nobody has ever heard of, then some percentages with QB name. No numerator/denominator to provide context, no explanation of the formula, just another stathead loser with a mustache parroting whatever he wants. So much of this stuff is worthless, especially in a sport like Football.
  6. What if I told you he's being coached by Mike Shula
  7. Lanorris Sellers is my choice but I'm biased of course. He should honestly stay another year and develop as a passer though.
  8. I think he should keep it tbh and try to improve at it all. We hired him to be the f'ing playcaller and head coach, so deal with the bumps of someone learning on the job with a limited QB. It's fine.
  9. SC fan so I might be biased, but Sellers is built different just like Cam was. He can shrug off sacks and then pop out of the pocket and use his ridiculous acceleration to scramble for the first down. One of those things that just cannot be taught and will translate to the NFL. He's 6'3" 240 built like a brick poo-house and is not afraid of contact. He is however, definitely raw as Passer there is zero doubt about that. I think he's had 13 starts in college now? This shouldn't be surprising at all. He has a good arm though and can hopefully improve, seems to have a great head on his shoulders.
  10. The whole BY experience, from that stats that paint him well to the actual on field play, can be best summarized by a sentence from an article Nate Tice wrote last year about him. "Young’s lack of arm strength and size creates little room for error in his play" I think the above sentence is ultimately what holds him back right now in the NFL. https://sports.yahoo.com/bryce-youngs-hopes-for-a-bounce-back-season-with-panthers-comes-down-to-more-than-just-his-supporting-cast-140010168.html
  11. At no point would it make any sense to bring in competition. This roster STINKS out loud, we are about 90% sure Bryce ain't it now. That's fine. Mid Round flier on a QB is a wasted pick on a roster full of holes. Jack Plummer stuck around cause QB3's stick around sometimes. They stink man. Nothing would have changed much other than a game here or a game there.
  12. That's what I'm thinking two. Who looked like the first year coach out there? Granted, one side has a QB the team believes in which helps a lot.
  13. This play is when I knew we actually hit on our #8 pick. Granted, I was high on him already based on what I'd seen, but that got me excited.
  14. The only thing that is annoying about this is these nerds envision a perfect world where data is perfect and results are perfect and everything is so perfect. THAT WORLD DOESNT EXIST. Things go wrong! Did Bryce's teammates let him down a few times, YES! He can shoulder plenty of the blame though as well.
  15. No I don’t think so. We will show some signs of life I believe. It wouldn’t help anything, would rather keep a few of the same faces around for the rebuild. Also, it’s Week 1 people.
  16. Look at McCarthy go. Good orgs and good coaching make such a big difference.
  17. Yeah I’ve been an Evero apologist because of the Jimmies and Joes he has had to work with. But my patience is waning with it all.
  18. Maybe they didn't want to pay out his contract but that wouldn't tie with how trigger happy Tepper has been, he doesn't seem to have an issue wasting money on the org. I wish Canales brought in his guy if he had one in mind. I think Head Coaches here have plenty of power or say, my guess is Canales stays out of the defensive side of business running the team (I think he's mentioned this in the past). But I think that rope is reaching it's end and he's going to have to put his big boy HC pants on and tell his DC what to do every once in a while.
  19. This will be a very interesting dynamic to keep an eye on. Canales has been more than generous keeping Evero from the previous regime and also keeping him after a historically bad defense last season. Evero is not really Canales guy, nor GM Dan Morgans. He will certainly be handed a pink slip if things don't change this season and it might be before Thanksgiving.
  20. Bryce gives it a look but Sanders is draped when he see's him and he saw color with that big DL in front of him. Honestly I'd this is an instance where his small size screws him over since he can't stand tall and try to throw a strike into a tight window.
  21. Perfect pass, perfect catch, negated by penalty. Most frustrating thing to watch yesterday and one that should get better as the season goes on. They did an un-freaking-believable job of passing around the who-will-mess-this-play up baton. BY has time and executes a nice pass? Penalty. BY has time and a man open? Underthrown. BY has found a rhythm when we desperately need a TD before halftime? XL can't get two feet inbounds (I am still in disbelief at how horrendous that was). WR's getting open? Nijman can't block anybody. BY nice toss to Sanders aka Hands? Dropped.
  22. Sheesh. Look at Damien Lewis instructing/communicating with Nijman and the ball is snapped mid-thought as he's looking to the right. He even is pointing his man out and I wonder if that's why Nijman doesn't really touch him. He wasn't ready at all and neither was Nijman. That's coaching! If Nijman wasn't supposed to pick that up, then he did admirable to at least push him off his side there. Bryce's eyes suggest XL is the first read in this play..... XL isn't even turning his head... lack of reps? Coaching? Maybe XL is truly not grasping the playbook. Rest of the play is poopoo and doesn't matter. It's almost like these guys didn't get enough reps together preseason or something. I texted my buddies the Panthers are the only NFL org playing their 4th preseason game in Week 1.
