  1. Can anyone direct me to a candid interview/discussion with BY that would be a testament to his true character/leadership ability. It would be much appreciated. I really haven’t been able to find anything except second hand opinions. (Sorry for the similar topic/post, I didn’t see it until after I posted.)
  2. I don’t know if this has already been posted, if so forgive me. I just watched this interview with CJ and I was blown away at his maturity for a 20 year old kid. (Interview was before last season) if you haven’t seen it you really need to watch it. This really gives you some insight as to who he really is as a young man. I can really see him as a true “face of a franchise” for years to come. One I would be proud of. Leadership, integrity and conviction are the attributes that I think set him apart from the competition. I can’t find anything like this (personal interviews) on Bryce Young which is a bit concerning. I don’t know if CJ will be the pick or not. But, after getting to know him as a young man, I am a fan and will follow his career no matter who he is playing for. I sincerely hope it is the Panthers.
  3. When a play breaks down and Young tries to “make a play” is when he gets blindsided like Romanowski did to Collins and Watt did to Cam…and they were BIG men comparatively. Brees was a pocket passer and had a long career. Cam was a “playmaker” and had a relatively short career. BIG “playmaker” - short career. SMALL “pocket passer” -long career. Young is a SMALL “playmaker” = Recipe for disaster and very short career. Stroud is a BIG pocket passer = potentially very long career. Agreed that Stroud needs to be a LITTLE more of a “playmaker” and use his legs a bit more and that can be taught. physical limitations that can not be overcome will make it very difficult for Young to be effective from the pocket.
  4. What has led you to believe Fitt and Thomas are high on BY?
  5. Gotta go Smith, logically. But I hate to pass on Flowers and Washington would be an awesome project.
  6. I want Stroud 100%! I think as a college QB Young is slightly better but I also believe he is close to his ceiling. Stroud on the other hand appears to have a much higher ceiling and I believe he will flourish under our coaching staff. Also, I am very concerned with Young’s slight frame and height. Finally, CJ is from humble beginnings and has had to work for everything he’s gotten, Bryce…not so much. For these reasons, IMHO Stroud is the pick, hands down!
  7. It’s God with a capital “G”. I’m sure that was just an oversight.
  8. Definitely not new here young man. I was merely posing a what if scenario to start a conversation. You may be right and you may be wrong but IF Fitz is able to pull some magic out of his a$$, do we do it. Just asking a question. Don’t be Richard!
  9. I like it. Don’t let him get out of Charlotte without a contract!
  10. I like Drue Tranquill, LB. Really balled out last year and thus ends up being a cap casualty with LAC. Might be a bit on the high side contract wise but worth keeping an eye on.
  11. Burrow-Chase, Hurts-D. Smith, Tia-Waddle. Does having a receiver that a rookie QB is familiar with aid in development? It appears to be a trend. JSN COULD be a legitimate WR1. Do we do what it takes to reunite Stroud- JSN. That’s assuming we take Stroud with the #1 pick, of course.
  12. Assuming we keep pick 39 and Darnell Washington is available (Mayer went in the 1st) do you take him. I’m a solid YES. Just curious what others think.
  13. You gotta trust our coaching/management staff. 150+ years of NFL experience has earned it. I honestly believe Tepper has learned his lesson and will not push his personal desire.
  14. How about trading our 1st for Purdy or Lance if (a big if) one becomes available. Having either of them along with Corral would be a plus as I see it.
  15. Well I didn’t get slandered as bad as I did when I suggested we sell out to get Justin Herbert! I don’t think that there was even one huddler who thought he could be a franchise QB. Hope I’m wrong about Nix, especially if he goes 4th or higher. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thank you for sharing yours.
  16. If Bo Nix was available in the 6th or 7th round would you take a shot? I am a Duck fan and have watched pretty much every game and I must say I have been impressed more each game. (I was NOT a fan of the acquisition initially.) The arm strength, intelligence and running ability is there but what has impressed me the most is the competitiveness, toughness and leadership. Kind of reminds me of Jake. I think for a late round pick the potential reward is worth the risk.
  17. Ricochet interception off of a helmet at the 5 yard line! looks familiar.
  18. There are moves to be made and I trust Fitts to make the right ones. He was hamstrung by Rhule. He needs to be allowed to do what he is paid to do.
  19. I would add: Good coaches inspire players to reach for excellence. Good players find it hard to play for coaches they don’t believe in. Teddy was probably right in his assessment and I doubt he was the only one.
  20. When I saw Chubba was deep on the kickoff I said that he was going to fumble it! Watch Rhule put him back there again!
