I’ll give them credit, the Texans aren’t as terrible as people thought they were going to be. Their organization is thrash though. They Beat the hell out of the Jags and could have beat the Browns with a little more luck on their side and People think the Browns are Super Bowl contenders this year. There is also basically no Tape on Davis Mills which was a huge advantage for them. This 3-0 start isn’t a fluke. Our defense is insane currently and Darnold is playing really good football. That’s a winning recipe in the NFL.

Our Pass rush is insane currently and could be a major reason why Horn has looked so good right out of the gate. We’ve yet to see him have to cover when a QB has all day to throw. This team reminds me of the 2013 team that went 12-4 and should haven’t beaten the 49ers in the playoffs if weren’t for terrible refs. That team was starting guys like Melvin White and Drayton Florence at corner. CJ and Hardy were so good that year it didn’t matter who we had back there. With Bouye added to the mix and hopefully another vet FA for added depth (already have seen people suggesting a guy like Richard Sherman) I’m not overly worried about the defense with this front 7. As for McCaffrey, boy that one hurts. We really need to bring in a guy who can consistently catch the ball out of the backfield. Hubbard can become a nice player but he already dropped 2 or 3 wide open passes. Reggie Bonnafon was nothing special but he shared a similar skill set to McCaffrey allowing us to not have to alter the offense. Surprisingly Mike Davis ended up being a decent receiver out of the backfield which helped Teddy tremendously. The NFL is crazy man. I never count us out of the Super Bowl especially when we have a winning record. Hell the last two times this team started 3-0 we made it the the Super Bowl.

I absolutely hated the fact that Tepper decided to ditch the grass for turf in the offseason. I get it is a penny pinching move and even with all the money he is saving he still isn't having the end zones painted black. The NFLPA was pushing to have turf banned last year although I don't know what ever came of it. Clearly the NFL doesn't care nor does our owner as we just switched our field. I'm wondering how Tepper is feeling after seeing our first round pick and our best player go down on non contact injuries due to turf. I did some research on turf and some of the number are pretty staggering. For a league that preaches player safety this is just insane. Thursday Night Football is another safety issue all on it own. Take FIFA for example. For as terrible and corrupt an organization as FIFA, they are at least smart enough to not allow turf to ever be used in the World Cup. Oh and Tepper using the excuse to move to turf for our incoming MLS team, the majority of Pro European Football clubs play on grass and if a club wants to use turf it has to be approved by FIFA. Look at it this way, Horn and McCaffrey would still be healthy right now if they would have been playing on grass. Ban turf and do away with Thursday Night Football please and thank you.
