  1. Doesn't matter. Yes, Lawrence could have played better in the first half. But what does a franchise guy do? They put it behind them, step up, and put up points for their team. Lawrence contributed to the disaster, but he fixed it. Panthers don't have a guy who can repair a disaster. Panthers need to get that guy, unless the plan is to build a crazy stacked roster ala 49ers.
  2. No it isn't. Spanos is legit a horrible horrible horrible owner BEYOND just football. Maybe, maybe Tepper gets there one day. But you can't match the Spanos' terribleness in 5 years.
  3. Staff will have a list for the HC to choose from if they don't have their own guy. For example, Ben Johnson is 36 years old and while he's been in the NFL since 2012, he doesn't have a strong list of DC options he has ties too. He worked with Vance Joseph for one season, but looks like Joseph could be staying in Arizona. So front office would likely give him (or anyone ie Steichen, Wilks, etc) a list of candidates they like.
  4. Ben Johnson is the real deal. Detroit offense was a pleasure to watch and it wasn't just talent making plays. His ability to scheme guys open and establish a creative running game was great. I think DJ Moore would play the St. Brown role in this offense. Time to hop on the train my man
  5. Jags don't make that comeback without a franchise QB Which is why the Panthers need to stop waiting for the perfect QB and just simply get one who can make those kind of plays.
  6. Trevor Lawrence is the real deal.
  7. I get what you are saying... but Seahawks and Bucs definitely aren't "very good". Seahawks regressed hard in the second half of the season and barely got by the Rams last week, and Bucs suck. The lore of Tom Brady is the only reason people think they have a chance (and I will admit... it is a good reason, Brady is the GOAT). But LIS, I get what you are saying and I agree. We can't take those wins away from Wilks.
  8. NFL version of Georgia with Stetson Bennet... no disrespect to Bennett. Just an absolute loaded team that is damn near idiot-proof when it comes to the QB. You'd have to be really really bad to fail with this offense. With that said, Seahawks defense sucks. I don't think Purdy is going to get away playing like this against Dallas or Philly. Two defenses with great pass rushes who will force turnovers in the secondary.
  9. Absolutely destroyed his blocker though and forced Geno to step up
  10. DK Metcalf is a monster lol
  11. Respect for him if he returns to Ohio State to win the national championship. And if that is what he wants to do, he should 100% do it. But I really really really hope he thinks it through. You never know what can happen. And while I do think since he plays QB, an injury wouldn't hurt him as much as it would others at another position (Tua still went top 5)... you never know.
  12. I like Jerod Mayo. I want an offensive-minded guy, but I would be okay with him. He's young, he is a former player who played middle linebacker (thus responsible for setting the defense) in a complex scheme/system, and has spent the last 3-4 years as a coach. Would he be in my top 3 most wanted? Nah. But I'd be willing to give it a chance. Former players (who have spent time as an assistant coach in the NFL, so not Jeff Saturday) have done pretty well so far. Mike Vrabel, Dan Campbell, Zac Taylor, O'Connell, plus a whole bunch of coordinators on the come up. I think there is a benefit to a head coach who recently played the game. They can relate to players differently. Obviously more goes into it than that, but it is important.
  13. Fisher has become a little underrated. Was he bad in the 2010s? Yes without question, the game passed him by. But he took over an Oilers/Titans franchise that just lost Warren Moon. He turned them around just like that. Between 1999-2003 they were AFC heavyweights and finished with 11+ wins 4 times in 5 seasons. He also has 2 more 10-win seasons on top of that. Rivera has never had his team as consistently good as those early 2000s Titans were.
  14. HIRE BEN JOHNSON We are a fool franchise if we don't.
  15. When are we interviewing Mike Shula?
  16. Wants to give the fans an entertaining game for at least the first half
  17. I agree with everyone else. George probably stomps. But TCU special man. You never know.
