  1. Is anyone willing to explain this to me? Considering we don't have a first next year and all.
  2. Good Coaching can make decent players better. It cannot however, make bad players good. Good players can win with bad coaching, but you need a poo ton of talent to do so. I think you are undervaluing our talent level. But hey, there are a whole lot of Huddlers who are doing the same thing. That's fine and all. But, don't come running to me if we start winning games and have a good season and all.
  3. And good players. Good Coaching only takes you so far. The same with good players. You need a good mix of both.
  4. The good news if they take Young is; we'll be looking for a new QB within a couple of years anyway. I lived through 3 years of Rhule. I can live through a few midget years as well. Although, at my age, I'm not sure how many more of these "Next few years" I have left. There is one Silver lining in all this. With all the running around the little guy has to do to find a lane. The games will be longer. Who can be mad at more Panther football?
  5. Ain't done nothing yet? We have put together a very strong coaching staff on both sides of the ball. We added a couple top notch players to what was already a pretty good D. We strengthened our Offense at every position. Although we could still use a Power Back and a true #1WR. This team could make the Playoffs with Dalton starting. The only thing standing in the way of our ascension is when will our Rook QB start balling out. I know I'm no expert like so many others around here appear to be. But this team has a chance to be pretty dang good. Pfft at Atl.
  6. Ain't family the bestest? I had a convertible Mustang at the time, and I hated using the brakes. I took one of my nephews for a ride. When we got back he told his mother we were taking corners on 2 wheels. Kids.
  7. Strange times for you maybe. I lived through the 60s.
  8. In all my years I never could have believed there would ever be a QB smaller than me playing in the NFL. And I have to listen to keyboard warriors screaming for him to QB my team. I mean, I actually thought it was a joke when ppl started talking up Young. No way ppl could seriously think this kid can handle the rigors of the QB position. He is the new poster boy for Not For Long. We need one of those "Must be this tall to play QB in the NFL" signs.
  9. Typical of you. Deflect, and attack. I guess when you can't validate your point, that's all that's left. That's funny too. "Sunshine and Rainbow crew". Nothing but insults from you. But hey, at least you are consistent. Care to name a few of our members? Or is that too much to ask?
  10. You know what would be funny. Drafting Young and putting him behind the same line that got Corral injured. Oh wait, we can't. None of those guys are still around. If you have to make things up, your point may be too weak to start with.
  11. . I thought it was obvious I was having fun. But obviously I was wrong. You were asking for a line. I gave you one. Sorry I didn't solve your dilemma. Tough crowd.
  12. That's what's so cool about science. There's no one correct answer. . You are asking an unanswerable question. You are asking a math question, when you should be asking a mental question. Knowing Young is probably going to get hurt at some point. How comfortable are you with that risk? There's your line. You're welcome. If you have concerns about Youngs' health. Draft Stroud. If you don't have concerns with Youngs health. Well first off, you're an idiot. But mainly, go ahead and draft him. I got 99 problems, but my QBs health ain't one of them. Cuz I took Stroud.
  13. There has been 100s of College QBs that could run around and make plays. How many NFL QBs are like that? There are precious few. (And even fewer with a long career) Although, that number is growing, slowly. There have been 100s of College QBs that could play well from the pocket. And there are a whole bunch of NFL QBs that still play that way. Although mobility is slowly creeping into the QB skillset. We didn't trade to #1 to buck the trend.
  14. Me thinks you may have found, whether for good or bad, a new friend. Now be respectful, and he may just last a long long time. But don't feed him after midnight. That's when things get a little dicey.
  15. It was more for the ppl that claim Frank only ever worked with taller QBs, and the Young crowd who claim that Young can fit in any system. They can both be right, or both wrong, or just one is right while the other is wrong. Just having fun on a rainy day. Not as much fun as @Ivory Panther. But hey, one can try.
  16. For months we painstakingly put together a top notch staff. Now, the Young fanboys want to tear it down so we can get a staff that can properly use him? You can't fix fanatics. All before we even find out what kind of system we will be using.
  17. And the Young fan boys cannot admit that his slight frame is a very big concern. Your turn.
  18. So you are now attacking the poster, not the post. You sure changed your spots in a hurry didn'tcha?
  19. So...you've resorted to name calling? Nice. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
  20. You hired a Coach because you thought his scheme could work. You don't then saddle him with a QB that doesn't fit that scheme. If you want a specific QB, hire a Coach that fits him. It may be backasswards. But it could work.
  21. I wonder if this is that CPKing or whatever son? He did say his son was on here.
  22. Which is why you almost have to laugh at those that say. "Pick the best QB, the coach may not be here in 3 years." lol If the Coach gets his QB, he may be here until he retires. The player absolutely has to fit what the Coach wants.
