  1. It's gotta be Fitterer. Some maddening perspective: Returns on 2022's draft are already definitive losses - Corral (was worth 2 picks/trade up), Smith (2 picks/trade up), Barnes. We wasted 5 picks on three guys that are already off the team. Ekwonu is very concerning this season. Barno and Mays are all remaining, and let's be real, they aren't rising into long term starters. The previous draft had 11 picks with only 1-2 working out (relatively speaking). This is how you become the worst. Horrible draft after horrible draft. We're the team team's are excited to see pick or trade up because we're taking guys that aren't high on other boards.
  2. Only this franchise would end up picking the one bust from the best team in CFB history.
  3. I think Fitt potentially midseason to see how Dan Morgan managing the counting department goes. Frank is hard to know until this IND, HOU, CHI stretch of games. I think he could legit be a rare one and done if we end up 4-13 or worse. I wouldn’t call Tepper overreactive if we did that. This could get near Hackett level embarrassing.
  4. 1. Recruit Ben Johnson back to his home state. His offense was a thing of beauty today. 2. Say goodbye to Fitt, see what Dan Morgan is made of 3. Draft an offensive playmaker as high as we can without mortgaging anymore high draft picks. I.E. Troy Franklin. I would be okay trading a late rounder to trade up to like 27-29.
  5. I am growing to dislike everything about how we built this offense more and more, especially when we originally had one first and twos seconds in a great draft and DJ Moore still in the building. But moving on, can’t change it, but Fitt is looking to be on the rocks. Big time. Young wise—We’ve passed the point where we should waste time trying to find the good throws in a loss. He’s just not living up to the bill so far. You shouldn’t have to be rewatching highlights as a fan to try and find hope with a few good throws… for a guy we traded to #1 to get and gave up all of that. You should be making that trade for a truly coveted once in 3-5 year type talent. We mortgaged so much and in doing so, put so much pressure on him and now that it’s not looking good. It’s a sinking ship. The staff is failing him but he’s doing the team absolutely no favors. Bad bad situation. This could get ugly for Bryce by year’s end (at the current trajectory) This stretch after Miami could be very telling when we play teams (not just the rookie QBs), but teams that were perceived to be in the rebuild cellar with us to start the year. He’s consistently making mistakes. Not rookie mistakes, just mistakes that you can’t make. Reich’s planning has been awful, Fitt has way too many draft picks not shaking out.
  6. A first and a proven starter that’s still relatively young. If we’re going to dish out another guy to help rebuild (again), we need to start acquiring known-assets and not just bunched picks that we keep missing on.
  7. Cam was such an injection of adrenaline into this entire organization. Can't believe that was a decade of him and that came and went. Some huge plays in that -- the Smitty TD and D'lo run were fun ones. Shoutout to Legedu. Legs! John Kasay playing against us. Wild game.
  8. Not to pile on but that was the tough one to rewatch. Remember feeling that he bailed on that when he didn't need to when watching but figured I just didn't notice something with the defense. Closer look, yeah, needs to improve. Easy 6. Being towards the end of the game, he may have been frazzled at that point, but what is he doing with his dropback there? His footworks antics around 30:38 prevent him from staying steady and being ready for the timing for launching to Thielen. It's like a weird full body twitch to the left, then multiple skippy toe steps and bails. Clean pocket, no need to do all that, stand tall, set, and throw. He's got skills, not giving up, but it's a legit critique. We can't have that.
  9. Ignoring the spelling disaster...the footwork thing is legit observation. Solid video for the Ringer. I'm noticing it on nearly all his shotgun 3 steps now. He sets, then quickly has a half pivot and then a replant. Sometimes see it when he's not under duress. He gets pretty skippy. Seems really comfortable doing it so it may be a habit from Bama and playing a bit more casually in the pocket there.
  10. If Bailey is getting more of this stuff, it seems like the leaky aspects of the org did not leave with Rhule. Wonder if Tepper just doesn't realize how many people are witness to his reactiveness.
  11. I low-key still really want Tremble to succeed. He's blocked well this year. Has had some nice moments in his brief career (loved his TD against TB last year). Could be a decent TE2.
  12. It's just the many who had an affinity to Stroud during the draft process who are having a difficult time going through the continued lull. They get panned as Texans fans, but it's all Pantherdom. I wanted Stroud but I'm not going to cry about it--what's done is done. Can't really change it at this point but I think many need to realize given how we got to #1 overall, he will be compared to QB2 and QB3 his entire career. Get used to it.
  13. I’m fairly certain we’re allowed one official takesie-backsie with Chicago. It would in effect change next years 1st given up to our 3rd rounder and we can swap Burns and Moore. It was in the fine print, also on the front office’s “all-22” footage from Tepper’s asshole…I mean Reich’s chapel..I mean, Fitt’s office.
  14. Higgins has a different minor injury that he plays through every few weeks. I don't find him appealing in the least for what we apparently are looking for. I don't mind the idea of Marquise Brown. He's much more in line with what we need right now as we need someone who can turn short throws into TDs and have gamebreaking speed/plays. My hope is one thing - just don't give up another first.
  15. Seems like the Panthers biggest fans come from 49ers, Skins, Eagles, Bears or Patriots families. They moved in the 80s/90s to QC and their kids first hometown team was the Panthers. We (many of those kids) are the biggest contingent of diehards. 96 and 03 were special for us at young ages and have grown into a decently sized fan base now with our own kids as fans. Tepper is spitting in all of our faces with his horrible operation.
  16. Reasonable observations. I don’t entirely understand why we’re not wanting to open this up even a little bit more and am also concerned to the “why”. This was the Vikings and they gave us drive after drive to do something, anything in that second half. Bryce was advertised above the likes of Baker and Kyler from a mentality and NFL acumen standpoint but Reich & Co don’t seem willing to diversify even within a limited playbook for him. It’s so constricting, defenses barely have to do anything. What this staff is implementing just doesn’t add up to what you implement for a #1 overall pick. Maybe if this was us putting in a third rounder in too soon that was meant to be developmental I’d get it. Something is amiss at all levels right now.
  17. He's exactly the type of gamebreaking playmaker we've been wanting and could very well be in that sweet spot at the top of round 2. A playmaker is the clear need and he's got my eye
  18. The last time we were in the playoffs, I was single, starting fresh in my career, in Southern Cal, world ahead of me. Long hair, had a surfboard, thought I'd be a beach-bum urban designer based in Laguna. I've since had a long term relationship, beat cancer, moved away/split for a promising gig, met a new gal, we eventually got a dog, she became my wife, made another big career move, now near Minny these days. I MISS WINNING But alas, life goes on.
  19. Brees didn't play much at all his rookie year. Allen is an aberration with some eyepopping moments. Peyton averaged like 240 ypg and slung over 25 tds and that was 1998. A #1 pick that we were willing to put THIS much pressure on, mortgage our future for, better look a hell of a lot more special than even other #1 picks. This whole situation is just not good, and Bryce isn't looking good for what we spent on him. It's okay to admit it.
  20. He has not. Doesn't mean he doesn't have the ability or had a nice moment or two, but he simply has not.
