  1. You can look good and capable enough to show flashes with this personnel. “good” being relative to this franchise
  2. That's the thing ding ding ding. Everyone saw first hand, a #1 overall player who elevated a bad OL and bad WR group. We landed the #1 pick that year for being terrible in 2010. This year, we traded up claiming we weren't that bad to get a guy to take us far. It is amazing what territory we're walking into..have to call a spade a spade right now. Anyone honest with themselves should recognize what we are seeing is nowhere near 1st round caliber, let alone, #1 overall.
  3. He makes around 2 nice lead-the-receiver throws per game. We have well past the point where we can point to those as some grand indicator of potential. The throws don't have proper velocity, his footwork is jittery, his accuracy is regressing. Line or not, you've got to show something more. We traded soooo much for you dude. Pressure or no, this is it. It's looking and feeling like we've got a guy here until we don't. The whole essence of the game and feel of things is much more in the Pickett/Trubisky/Locker realm than some promising talent that's losing games. I'm just not seeing anything. Can't outrun DTs, can't throw deep accurately, can't hold onto the ball (4 strips), now countless misreads for pick 6s this year. 8 total TDs to 11 TOs Averaging low 100s passing yards per game. We've seen first hand talent can supersede playcalling and offensive talent in Cam. It is simply not happening folks.
  4. There's no way around it. Worst game off Bryce's short career so far. Gave Indy 14 points, 8 TDs to 11 TOs (7 INTs) on the year.
  5. He took off a few stretches of snaps between getting abused in run D. Had a splashy TFL after he sat for around 4-5 snaps on a drive.
  6. Let's take the remaining rookie QB class out of the equation, Bryce just looks bad. You don't need to compare. With protection or under duress, the velocity is not there on his throws, throws are behind or high way more than expected, and these sideline throws seem to just hang in the air forever. He just doesn't have the zip you want. Every week I keep saying, we've gotta be patient, can't just say bust quite yet, but he's just not looking good. There's only so many ways you can talk around that basic point.
  7. They are definitely players, as in they play the game of football. I'll give you that.
  8. Both of y'all just stop. K? Geez.
  9. Bolded what I'm agreeing with and did not expect. He's been having a really rough season. He's just getting manhandled.
  10. One of my biggest problems is that he's averaging around 75 snap % per game. We still don't play him like a true 3-down lineman. That in itself is such a big problem. Should be mid to high 80s. He'll go out of games from stretches anywhere from 3 to 5 snaps in a row.
  11. We have absolutely zero faith in this receiving corps
  12. Okay there you go, rest Burns for 3 snaps then bring him back in haha
  13. Is Burns injured? He's been out for 3 snaps in a row
  14. Yeah Pierce has been a major disappointment considering how good their OL has performed. It's been putting more pressure on the pasisng game and they've brought it.
  15. Good post. A minor counter is that Tank Dell was totally legit. Him, Rashee Rice & Charlie Jones led the NCAA in nearly every receiving metric last year. But yeah, Stroud has been working with backup lineman who've performed great. And then this receiving group, which he's throwing absolute dimes to. Stroud. is (A) playing great, (B) the coaching is excellent and (C) the supporting cast is outperforming expectations with a stud emerging in their rooks.
  16. That's still something Young needs to correct. There is pressure but he was able to set. He should know (even if it's quick), he's not outrunning a 6 man front blitzing. Instant throw away.
  17. NGL, even from a casual eye, seems like Burns is jogging out there today.
  18. Half of 2022 is off the team. And two of those guys were trade ups. 5 picks that amounted to nothing in 1 year. There’s not a comparable draft around the league in that respect. Last year was crippling. Patriots have also been drafting pretty bad sans a few like Duggar and Gonzo. They’re falling into a similar situation but comparability doesn’t make it excusable.
