This thread is turning into a Seinfeld episode

Yeesh. I'm just identifying a fun combo, not making any declarations haha.

I do I do. He's got skills. Think he could kill it in a Shanahan type offense. Good decision maker, high football IQ, excellent presnap. I'm interested to see where he lands. He's not at the top tier by any means but I think he's got a future. Could instantly be a backup for a guy like Cousins. I think O'Connell could do some work with him in Minny. Not a bad idea for a team like Miami as well. Would be instantly better than Thompson if Tua goes down again.

Iosivas is a big winner today from the WOs. 6'3 205 4.43, caught everything and is just moving around very fluidly.
-
Levis and that Princeton kid could be a fun combo we realistically could land. Smooth.
-
Haener had a great dime on his last throw.
-
Haener and Hall are respectable. Levis is a tier above the guys out there. Sticks out like a good sore thumb
-
Yeah Cunningham didn’t look good in the SB either. He’s looking to be undrafted. There’s more than a few that could be undrafted from this crop.
-
Pretty even splits power wise.
-
Haener coming in at 207 is big for his stock. He's filled out.

Deonte Banks & JuJu Brents are the two that really caught my attention yesterday.
-
Tremble has shown well every time he's been actually used but he's a TE2. Really hope we capitalize on this TE class. Mayer, Kincaid, Washington, Kraft, Musgrave, Schoonmaker, it is legit as hell.

If the RB market is this saturated, Pollard could have 3-4 all-pro years ahead and fits Reich’s RB style quite closely. Love that fit and he’s one of my fave players. I know we don’t want the over investment at RB but really do love Pollard. Him and k Herbert are two dudes that are at the top of the league, just behind older bulls.

Ah I was looking at tankathon whoops. My point stands though. I honestly think we could pull this off even if we manage what id call a more minor trade up from pick 9. I think we could still manage a move to as high as 6 w/DET without giving up the barn. Then separately, from the 39 to the back of the first without giving up a future 1st in either deal. Anything more than that though, then it gets tricky, but if we’re just pushing around second to mid rounders that we can also easily acquire in the future, I guess why not shoot the shot?

What I think we can all agree on is that we're targeting this "sexy" draft that Fitterer keeps mentioning. Both him and Tepper seem aggressive these days. They want to go after skill position players, playmakers. I don't believe this is stopping at QB. QB is just the obvious spot, for 4 years runnning ha. So okay then. Let's say a best case scenario happens: We don't have to move and AR(or)Levis is our pick at 9. Liking the QB prospect aside, we've landed one, take it or leave it. The kicker now is we haven't given up major capital in doing so. We have picks 39, 61, 93, (2)4ths, a 5th and 7th. Do we really need to backfill the roster and get more guys in the 4th-7th? I don't think so. Given their demeanor this year, I just don't think we would wait to 39 with what we'd still have in the tank. They're talking about being aggressive, well then THIS would present that opportunity. Do note, the weapons may not start peeling off the board until the teens. You've got the likes of Mayer, Kincaid & Musgrave at the top of the TE class. Addison, Smith-Njigba, Zay at WR. Throw in QJ for good measure. So, the crux of this thread: Would you trade 39 & some change to get one in the 20s? In that, you get the 5th year option, ensure a weapon at the top of the class, which on top of QB is a major need. I mean, if we're talking trade ups, I'd much prefer that type of one. Get to around 25 for 39, a 4th, and a future 4th-ish. Just something in that general ballpark. Draft value charts place that ~120 pts, which equates to a 4th and some change. The WR group this year isn't that deep but there's definitely some talent at the top. Given what our FO has been saying, it's just making me think they could really want a guy like Zay Flowers to pair with DJ Moore. That could be fantastic right there for a young QB. Something to think on scenario wise.

That Julius Brents is an interesting DB. Great size & athleticism. Comp is a guy Evero knows well in Trumaine Johnson.
-
And he doesn't even turn 26 until next year. He's 25 for the 2023 season, Levis will be 24. He's older than ideal, but far from Weinke-tier.

Overall, not really feeling much of the tip top of this draft compared to the top-25ish. Don't see a huge drop/an elite class. Murphy is nice I guess, but the CBs are a big mixed bag and some of these other DL have as big of question marks at their respective spots as the QBs do. Kancey & Nolan seem to be 2 particular risers that could really get up there. A rather interesting scenario if we can't swing a QB trade up and the top-4 QBs are gone (we're talking worst case scenario basically)... That would be a trade down with the Packers who really need an EDGE. We arguably do as well, but they've been aggressive in recent years and we could land a future 1st with that type of move. I'd say same thing goes for NE on the OL front for Mac. Could land a future 1st, or a few higher picks 2nd-3rds... With the extra ammo, could be more targeted and get a combo like Addison, Hooker, & Musgrave. Something like that could be a fun gamble.

I'm placing Jordan Addison & Smith-Njigba high and above the WRs. I honestly get Martavis Bryant vibes with Johnston. Something just doesn't click for me with that guy. 1. Jordan Addison - Been a fan since his ACC days, he gives me the sure thing feel that guys like Waddle & OBJ showed coming out. 2. Smith-Njigba - Can never unsee the Rose Bowl. He can light it up on the big stage and can be a superstar WR. 3. Zay Flowers - This is the last 1st rounder that I think has that stud ceiling. He is the closest thing to the Tyreek/Smitty type I've seen in years. Love his blend of toughness and quickness.

The 2nd rounderish EDGE group is still really interesting. Felix, BJ Ojulari, & Foskey all promising.
