  1. Shane Waldron & Ken Dorsey would be potential adds. Unsure if Leftwich is perceived as a rising guru, but he could get considered by teams with openings.
  2. I can see him right there for the taking if we want to engage. I see the Colts as a hard no--Harbaugh is pretty tight with the Polians and certain circles that simply won't work w/Irsay. Broncos will likely be a no from him for reasons mentioned, but it's not impossible. Only real competition for him are teams who haven't fired their coach yet. I'd usually think this is a bit long shot discussion, but this is a very real possibility this time around.
  3. Kunkel isn't one of the mudslingers, usually a pretty straight forward guy with player updates/news feed. Very interesting.
  4. Between Spears and the Illinois kid Brown, there's some fun ones to add to our arsenal in that 4th-6th range. Two of my faves that seem to have the NFL level quickness.
  5. Given that we were in a reasonable spot to get Garrett Wilson or Justin Jefferson in both of their drafts, it's hard not to really crave the stud WR.
  6. It'd be one thing to play the game, but that resume bit is the truth for the best coaches in the game today. You interview and assess who'd be the best coach possible, don't let the paper do the elimination.
  7. LOVE IT. Pratt wasn't asked to do much but made no mistakes & Spears absolutely snowplowed the Trojans. Absolutely awesome win.
  8. I mean, Kyle Shanahan, Sean McDermott, Sean McVay, Zac Taylor, Brian Daboll, & Kevin O'Connell, all had the same amount combined when brought in as HC to their squads. Never a HC at any level, anywhere.
  9. Ryans should have a good network to pry from and be an attractor for players. One of the few DCs I'd be cool with. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/49ers/why-nick-bosa-considers-49ers-demeco-ryans-best-d-coordinator-nfl-career Brian Griese and James Cregg could both be options on offense.
  10. A bit unsure with Shane Day. The Chargers' offense has been banged up but took a really strange dip this year even though they've managed wins. Herbert has definitely had an off year.
  11. Nice points. Agree on Tremble. Can't act like he's our set future at TE but he's continuing to develop more and more. I'm happy with the entire OL. Bozeman and Corbett especially. Re-signing Bozeman should be the first thing we do. He's such a good player & teammate. For Darnold--I'm thinking he should get signed to a 2-year type deal. You look around the league at these other backups like McSorley, Huntley, Rypien, Ehlinger, Perkins, Wolford, and they just can't move the ball, can't produce. You can produce and win (~.500) with Sam.
  12. I think Tyjae Spears has a bright future on Sundays. Great balanced everything back.
  13. I think he's got the HC gene from a locker room & practice leader perspective, but unsure about his abilities in game planning and figuring out the right vision for this team. It's precisely why he worked well as Rivera's DB-C/Assistant-HC, he ran our practices and had the squad tight as hell in 2015/16 but he kind of slipped when he was our DC. I still feel like Buffalo took our best staff. It's tough because the team supports him, he's local, likeable, and the narrative for becoming our HC has been set already. I think Tepper has to make the tough decision to sign someone else but should definitely interview and see what his long term plans would be and who he'd bring in to his staff. We cannot be complacent if we want a turnaround and I'd need some assurance he's got an offensive mind to bring in.
  14. They didn't need to as they have been heralded. They have been consistently recognized for awesome performances this season.
  15. I really like Jayden Daniels & Michael Pratt for 2024. 2 dudes to keep an eye on outside of Caleb, Maye, Penix, & Ward
  16. Yep, good spot for all of these guys. Felt like highlighting the non Brown/Burns/DJs of the world that can survive the next rebuild.
  17. It has simply been a bonkers year with everything that's happened. Rhule assembles a hodgepodge staff of drifter coaches, finally canned, Baker Mayfield has a Clausen level performance, went through like 4 QBs to get back to Sam. And we didn't fall out of contention until a week to go in the year. I've got 4 shoutouts. Outside our core/big talents, I view these dudes as ones to stick around into the next regime. They're part of why we stayed in it this year: Frankie Luvu 107 tackles, 7 sacks, 17 TFL, 3 PDs, 1 INT, 1 FF, 1 TD I can't begin to say how strong of a year Frankie had. He became a proven NFL starter this season, I'd argue a top-20 overall LB performance in the league. Made huge splash plays when we needed them. Just really stepped it up and I'm thankful to have finally found a diamond in the rough on D. It has been a while. Sam Franklin 20 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF He's someone that we may have scoffed at getting playing time because of Rhule, but hell, he was a vital part of our ST unit and has shown up when he played. It's a bit hard to prop up anyone in our secondary after what Evans just did, but he did have a great punchout early against Godwin and has been a bright spot in recent weeks. Xavier Woods is a leader and communicator, Chinn has been hit/miss as of late, but Franklin stepped up. The rest of the unit, yeah, been a bit shaky. Tommy Tremble 18 receptions, 172 yards, 3 TDs, 4 ST tackles/stops Not a huge line, but he does more than just catching the ball. People can bash our TE room, understandable, but I think Tremble showed a lot of great progress this season. He was already a great blocker, showed a lot of spark when he came in his rookie year, and then this season, he's worked his way McAdoo's playbook didn't have a ton of designed plays for our TE2, but he was effective and stepped up virtually every time the ball was thrown in his direction Props. If we get a stud TE, he's a perfect compliment that could turn into something. 3rd round investment going into his 3rd season. Next year could be a glow up. and last but not least: Marquis Haynes 27 tackles 5 sacks, 7 TFL, 4 PDs, 1 TD Here's a guy that deserves some big props in my opinion. He was a college sack artist who's honestly done exactly what we needed from him when called upon. Has also gotten better every year, a bit larger, a bit stronger. He's another guy like Tremble that's going into a year where he could bloom. Baseline would be settling into a long term strong rotational guy on a D-line. If he sticks, he'll have made it through Rivera and Rhule, and just feel the man deserves some more props. While we've been searching for a 3-down compliment on the line for Burns, he's filled into a specific role very well. I'm personally a big fan.
  18. I have a feeling we end up with Bryce. Colts get Levis. Stroud is in Houston. Just a hunch.
  19. Just the thought of either of those guys curating an offense for Bryce or Stroud with the pieces we already have gets me excited. Really hope this is the path we go. Take a shot at a stud OC and let’s get a high powered offense going.
  20. Ron and Steve’s old crew including Turner could pitch themselves as a package…for the Broncos. Lol.
  21. I like, may prefer Steichen but Ben Johnson has good fit written all over him with his carolina roots. Both could be great choices
  22. Haven’t really sensed that much, minor reactive contingents. Would be game for some appreciation threads to establish positive narratives about the team though. They showed fight this season midst a lot of turmoil.
