NFL models projected Young to go bust. The reason: Young takes very deep drop back to see over the line but he does not have a quick release and need to step into his throws to generate power/zip. With blitzes and against heavy pass rush, he projected to struggle big time. With NFL being much faster and physical than college, he projected to be hit early and often. NFL has removed model results from their website about a week ago. The analysis said for Young to be successful in NFL, requires team to have top Offensive Tackles tandem from preventing EDGE and LBs to go around them. Young had one of the best OL in college football the last 2 years.

Someone will need to post suicide hotline here if we pick Stroud.

The was article on NFL.com where they plugged Young’s intangibles into a model… not hight or weight but his playing intangibles and there was zero QB who made it in NFL with his playing style. The model predicted he needs an amazing supporting cast to succeed in NFL. I posted that article weeks ago and got there responses from Young supporters.

Go back and do some reading.

He has a noodle arm. Facts
-
He will need a ladder first tho
-
Nice. 7 plays in 2 years with 40+ yards throws most of those with WR looking back for 3+ seconds wondering where the f the ball at.
-
Yes, he does. Did you know NFL.com models projected him to struggle at the next level without proper supporting cast?
-
When you struggle to throw the ball past 40 yards, that’s a noodle arm. Watch the highlight videos, most times his wide open WR had to nearly stop to catch the deep ball. Young will have Baker Mayfield, Alex Smith ceiling in NFL. He will dink and dunk ball in NFL.
-
His ball does not have zip you see in elite talent. You do not pick a guy #1 overall who will never be elite.
-
Young’s arm is strong enough, but he doesn’t have elite arm strength. His velocity is good, but has a visible cap and can be inconsistent. He sometimes fails to push that velocity to the deep third. Young also operates with a lot of schemed plays and predetermined reads by design, and he has room to become a more independent processor. There are times when Young sticks to his first read too long, and he can be reliant on rhythm throws. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/bryce-young-qb-alabama-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/amp/ One NFL quarterbacks coach believes Bryce Young made the right call by not throwing at the NFL Scouting Combine on Saturday. Speaking to The Athletic's Bruce Feldman, the coach said Young's arm strength would've been "unimpressive" compared to other top quarterbacks Anthony Richardson, C.J. Stroud and Will Levis. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10067920-nfl-coach-bryce-youngs-arm-unimpressive-compared-to-richardson-stroud-levis.amp.html I can keep going. Bryce Young ceiling is Alex Smith. Field general who need to be surrounded with top talent at next level to win.
-
Every scout said arm strength is a concern with him. He generates little to none zip on the ball. Not sure what scout reports you reading.
-
Noodle arm Bryce is better in everything?
-
Kyler who is taller and bigger than Bryce, missed 9 out of 34 games or 26% in last 2 season due to hits he took and is expected to miss beginning of 2023 season. Kyler also has faster release and bigger arm.

Someone shared insight after my post. It was on one of the scouting reports that said he had recurring shoulder injuries in both years he started. I mean… he’s 5’10 and most tackles will be in shoulder area.

Young has Jimmy Clausen arm strength. Who missed Pickles?
