  1. I actually really hopeful of this years draft. I really think that Rhule will have an advantage over most tears with this years class similar to Seattle when they hired Carrol. My best case scenario is that we dont trade out of 8, grab a QB and still have picks remaining to take advantage of Rhule's knowledge of this class.
  2. If you dont understand that every player on the roster is playing for their careers then Im not sure what to tell you. No one plays to lose. The FO can make it harder for their teams to win but they cannot force them to lose. There has been a lot said about this, if you dont get it then go play madden.
  3. I know and beating the Chargers, Cardinals, Falcons, Lions and Washington cost us Lawrence....
  4. Im not a fan of this but if he is the man then this is absolutely worth the trade. Keeping our 2nds is nice.
  5. Not sure why we are giving him flack, he was a solid player that played above his draft stock and made a good career. I would take a player like him in the 7th round every day of the week!
  6. For me it either Jake Delhomme or Jimmy Clausen. Jake just because I had so much affinity in him. Jimmy because I was totally on the hype train when we drafted him
  7. You're probably correct but I'll after the last draft, I'll trust Rhules player evaluation over any of the Huddle's draft guru's...
  8. Watson is not getting traded.. Its January guys - news is slow.
  9. This is actually good for the Panthers (and maybe the league).. Despite what we do at the QB position, teams are now willing to turn that position over more regularly in order to find a top 5 guy. What this hopefully means for the Panthers is that it resets the QB contract market causing it to drop slightly.
  10. I dont disagree. I would not be unhappy with Pitts but at 8 its pretty rich.
  11. Yeah I think the writing is on the wall as well. I dont think you talk this openly about getting a Franchise QB and then some how start Teddy. That said, I would rather have a different QB on the roster to mentor the new guy. A Derek Anderson type guy.
  12. I cannot imagine being Teddy and hearing all of this yet as of right now he is still the starter. I know the entire world wants us to get a QB in the draft but if that doesnt happen then all we can hope for is that all this talk is fuel for him to have a 'tremendous offseason'.
  13. Lets not all pretend that we dodged a bullet here. If we dont draft a QB and go into the season with Teddy as a QB half this board will be saying we should have been aggressive at brining him in..
  14. I would have had no problem bringing him in for a league min contract. Would not have impacted what we did in the draft and given us options if we dont draft a guy.
  15. Right and that worked really well at the beginning when their entire core was on rookie contracts. That seemed to fall apart after they had to sign 2nd contracts..
  16. I thought jeans Friday was what got Richardson in trouble to begin with...
  17. I only know PMBOK.. so I guess Im old school?!
  18. Fitterer said he wanted a 'start up' mentality. Presumably this means that no position is safe and best player starts regardless of contract. In theory this is great, but given how contracts work in the NFL is this practical? Will the GM write shorter year contracts in order to be able to make it more affordable to move on from players when they under perform? How is this realistically carried out?
  19. It was a good signing at the time. I mean we couldn't keep both. So Star was a big nose tackle whereas KK was developing into an elite interior pass rusher. In theory a NT is easier to replace. I dont blame GMan for Star dropping in production. If flipside would have happened, we signed Star and KK continued to develop we would be just as pissed that we let a pass rushing DT go (which is infinitely more valuable). That being said.. it is time to let him go.
  20. 100% if your employer cannot take a joke then its not the work environment you want to get into. I did this to at my last job interview. I HATE typical interview questions - yet I do get their importance. They asked the typical "what is your biggest weakness?" question. I responded, rolling my eyes and said "I work too hard, care too much and sometimes can be too invested in my job" Took a second for them to realized I was joking but basically from that point on I knew I nailed it
