Genuine question bc I may be out of the loop, what did he say to throw him under the bus? I heard him sound supportive (or at least neutral) of Bryce even when there wasn't much reason to be.

I'm wishing him well; he came to play, I thought he handled this sh*tshow very well. Go win. Now hopefully we are owed something good and we draft a Tyreek Hill or George Kittle with our 5th rounder lol.

I never saw the expectation when he was drafted that he'd be the next guy. Heck remember he was even playing some RB in college lol. With us having Kuechly and Davis, he was supposed to be able to fly around and use his athleticism as a complement to their styles. It worked for a while, but with no good team around him we see he's not exactly an All Pro franchise player. When you draft a guy 1st round I'd say you expect him to have great impact. Being a 'decent/good' player for the same team for almost 10 years definitely counts as a good pick in my book though.

I'm glad I made this thread before he was injured, otherwise it may look very different now. A torn Achilles for an athletic style linebacker at 30 doesn't sound very promising for the future.

To be fair, that's what the knock was on him coming in to Carolina, so now we're seeing it. (Now that we finally even have a chance to see it )

That's what I've thought too;if I were a team that wanted him I would draft him; someone in the thread said year 1 he can sit out, year 2 he's a FA basically. If he wants to waste a year of his youth so be it, it's a gamble bc the next franchise that gets the #1 pick could also be horrible, and I don't see anybody actually wasting 2 years of their career. I say call their bluff or get a historically lopsided trade. (i.e. even more than we gave up for Bryce lol)

Exactly; this makeshift defense that's also MISSING their key leader could be doing a LOT worse against this typically elite offense.

I was thinking the same. If you can field a winning team without needing to pay elite QB money bc you can groom them up, that would be amazing.

I just really want to go and write Andy Dalton a letter lol. Every Sunday prior to this, my face was so stale. The games would somewhat still ruin my mood despite telling myself not to let it. Watching Dalton throw ROCKETS for 30+, 40 yards that make you hold your breath bc there is an actual chance is just refreshing. This is a dynamic offense now, and honestly win or lose these games are what football are supposed to be...ENTERTAINING.

I'm always on the fence. I'm a big believer in 'the best ability is availability'. I do think Horn has elite potential, but he has to stay healthy this year at least, no question about it.

Moving the team is not even worth the discussion that fans have. Even the worst most embarrassing team is profitable for the city. The Cleveland Browns in 2015 were worth $1.5B, and are now worth $5.1B. An NFL Franchise is absolutely a luxury to have.

I'm also curious WHY it needed to be announced to start the week. Why tell the opponent early who to prepare for?

Well last season was bad if I recall, but this season he was lighting it up against the Jets in camp. So I'm surprised he looks this bad to start.
