He’s not been good at all tonight.

PathersWire: Best and worst PFF grades week 8
Varking replied to SZ James (banned)'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Having Horn come back healthy would be a nice boon to the secondary too. -
How is correcting somebody a negative thing?
-
I keep hearing chatter from folks here about trading for Jamo on the Lions and he seems to have the yips at the moment. No big runs, dropping everything.
-
Henderson has himself another solid game.
-
Let’s not talk trash in a positive vibes only thread. No need to take shots at folks who prefer CJ in here.

CJ Henderson not in the bottom 5 once again. Proud of him. -
Why Trading Burns is the Only Path to Getting a #1 WR in 2024
Varking replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tee is the same type of player as Evans but less successful. Tee had a 4.54 40 and Evans was 4.53. -
Why Trading Burns is the Only Path to Getting a #1 WR in 2024

I mean he still has a 70 yard TD on the year on a ball that traveled like 15 of those yards. He can still run away from folks from time to time. You don’t get to 1k yards every year for 10 years if he can make 500 more yards this season, without still having good speed. He’s a guy that you can pay for 2-3 years and feel great about it. Anything longer is likely a bad contract. -

Evans won’t be coming here but he still has plenty of speed left. He’s got like 5 plays over 30 yards this season even at his WR advanced age. -
Any vet QB can do that. It doesn’t need to be Andy. And I think most folks here played football into college and are well aware of locker room dynamics. If anyone in the league is willing to offer a pick for Andy Dalton, you take it.

I’m convinced that with above average WRs Young can be VERY good
Varking replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
We valued two defenders who need contracts more to help out our rookie QB than a stud young WR he could grow with. -

This doesn’t change my belief of it. Dalton hasn’t helped any QB live up to their hype since he left Cinci.

NFC South Standings.... I'm not saying but.....
Varking replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Been saying for weeks that this past week through the Bears are all winnable games. Let’s go win them. -

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/04/03/2023-nfl-draft-panthers-bears-trade-dj-moore-brian-burns-derrick-brown/ https://www.profootballnetwork.com/dj-moore-trade-details-revisiting-bears-panthers-nfl-2023/ Just Google “Bears would have accepted Burns or Brown instead of DJ Moore”. There’s tons of articles on it. -
I don’t think he needs Dalton to be mentored. He has former QBs on the coaching staff. At least two of them.
-
If you look around the league usually when the rookie QB or first year coach gets their first win they end up in the locker room giving out a game ball to one of them. Seeing Frank give the ball to Brown was very wholesome.

Post where you documented all these ratings

It doesn’t matter. If Bryce gets hurt the season is over. This whole season is about him. Our backup QB should be traded if we can get something for him.

From what I understood the Bears were open to Brown, Burns or DJ. DJ was the prize but they would have taken Brown or Burns if the other assets going to them were right. -
I’d keep it on all week

It was fine. They lucked out because the second defender coming in late didn’t hit him, he went over the other defender. The first defender wasn’t late though.
