  1. Trade back. Morgan did well negotiating trades last spring, he will get a good return. I would hope good enough to have a 8-12 range pick and get back in the bottom quarter of the 1st round. I haven't looked at the players but it is defensive BPA to me three times at least. We need everything.
  2. As far as I can imagine it, this was the reality: Tepper added a condition to accompany the hirings, and that is Bryce is your starter, make it work. I don't care how but you must make every legit effort to make this work with him. The drafting and the signings and all of it were dedicated to making the offense 'foolproof' - for lack of thinking of the right word. Just so strong that you could game manage it to success. They pretty much did that. Added to the situation is, these guys knew that Bryce couldn't beat anyone good out and if they got someone like that the players would see. Then you have that problem - the one they forestalled until week three when they just couldn't get away with another week. In my eyes and probably most people's, this whole thing was to take longer than two weeks. It was the theme of the season and the only real goal, Bryce proving last year was not his fault. Or not proving it. Even his biggest critics thought he would make a better showing. He rubbed the noses of his fans in it too, not his doubters.
  3. He won't have a helmet thrown at him, at least from DJ.
  4. DJ be like, "Bryce again?" Get me the eff out of here. I'll go anywhere.
  5. Maybe. The Denver front is stout, the O has been out of synch with these two new players injected, and then add they will dare him to throw the ball. Of course. Hard to say anything good and mean it.
  6. It really goes away when you are behind the sticks. It doesn't even take a score deficit, just a yardage hurdle you won't clear with a run. Which we have seen a lot on account of pre snap stuff plus blown assignments. And people don't really account for it in the tally of the run/pass balance. 1st and 15, 2nd and 13, it matters.
  7. Skip Bayless lol. He is smarm in a sports coat. Just can't take him. The adversarial concept of 'you argue this and I'll argue against you and we'll say outrageous poo to get attention', I cannot be complimentary to that toxic poo - I better not start. Oops. Skip was okay was writing for the Dallas paper, and I only say that because I never used to read the Dallas papers.
  8. There was something stat wise that showed it wasn't really that bad, but another stat had them running more than expected, when playing from behind. So who knows. The OL seems to be out of whack with Christensen and the new ROT in there. Who really kind of sucks so far. And Thomas is doing a poor job at blocking that I have seen.
  9. BTW I just watched the latest Idzik press Q&A. Brooks ....
  10. Well yeah. The hope was he would be worked in and be able to play if needed, etc. I know it is ahead of schedule for the green dot hat. One reason our d is so bad though is the middle guys weren't really a strength to start with and they both went at the same time.
  11. We need a 2022 Foreman next year. Or someone that will short yardage pound the LOS. A load. A Tolbert would be great.
  12. Sanders being here is really Fitterer doing the paper and phone work. He is here because the new staff wanted him. Reich and Staley. Pretty sure. Staff turnover type of a thing where he doesn't know Foreman or Chuba from the last guy's team.
  13. But he is doing it. They said he was anyway. I have been waiting for Jewell to come back thinking he will take that over. oh, not protections but the calls and alignment stuff.
  14. That running game, when you can’t make a yard if you really need it you aren’t good enough. All I know. I expected more.
  15. The defense will force us to throw. You have to back them off. It comes down to that, like everybody says with the deep stuff. Just, downfield. Legit downfield completions that force the defense to adjust. I go to his rebuilt mechanics, the Buffalo preseason the first about ten plays of the Saints game, and then he quit and went to his tippy toe and that kind of drop back. He has to play an entire game without retreating into his old ways. I think that is my bar along with the downfield completions.
  16. It will be better for him behind our OL to start with. Saints line was as bad an OL as some of the Panthers 2023 exploits. They were really bad. We are talking a top overall pick in his second season vs a 5th round rookie literally thrown in and it is his second game. You certainly expect the One to do better. But, still he may not. Those last numbers from vs LA were brutal.
  17. Well I wouldn’t pay anything for him. Maybe I guess Andy’s thumb is really bad and that’s all there is to it.
  18. I've said all that to myself and others already. I rewatched the Washington game though and focused on him. That is what I saw. He was often away from the play and seemed slow to pursue. Some of it would be responsibility based, his key took him out... but he just doesn't look that good overall. Maybe it was just me being too critical.
  19. You are projecting command level poo onto a lower level co conspirator.
  20. This is apparently too complicated for a straight up simple play by play. ? I think the motivations are really much simpler. And it isn't Canales throwing a payer under the bus to protect himself. I doubt seriously. It is almost the trade deadline. The writers and talkers won't shut up about Bryce and Someone feels like it is important for Bryce to still get field time. Chicago and Washington show that. So there is that. We don't know if they are getting calls about Young or not, nor how many or how few, nothing. But they know. Doesn't that make more sense as to why they'd show him off?
  21. Okay Carruth is way up there, and normal football villains are way down there.... Panthers villains... There really needs to be a separate room for pre Bryce Young fugups. just lay it out as to who really made the call on Young and also, after seeing the results of that decision ... who was behind the associated urgency to double down and build (overbuild) an unsinkable offense to hide him in? Damn the expense and damn the impact on the rest of the team (defense). Lay that out in detailed fashion, without the Hunger Games gossip drama cryptic treatment this time. We'll have the biggest villains and yes men.
  22. Any value. Saves us money. Saves us a bad example probably for anyone still giving a poo. And what do you get if the trade deadline passes and he is playing out the string? I mean, that type of stuff carried on to the field (I believe that line is now crossed), will cost him money but he may not be able to restrain himself. Even if he realizes he is hurting himself.
  23. I'm pretty concerned about Wallace actually. Have gone from liking it to not trusting him at all. I don't like what I see on the field screw the green dot stuff he looks slow and weak.
  24. I mean, every person is a unique snowflake... but yeah that is true. He isn't special he is just ours and one of the few success stories. Shelf life though, is growing shorter.
