Money is money. Reich wasn’t broke when he took the gig. I doubt he was. At a point, money stops being what mattered. Someone fuging you over and changing the rules in the middle of the game, tends to obscure the reason you want to be there. At some point your only hope of relief is to force them to fire you. I don’t know what happened but have the big guess that number one they forced Bryce on him and took all the fun out of it right there. Then forced him to keep playing him when he needed to not be on the field. I’d be wanting out too.

If this isn't bottom I don't want to see it. We need to get Bryce off the field and off the team and stop chasing a bad investment and get to the business of digging out of this hole.

Him playing good is a relative thing. Why are people thinking because he was better than the bottom of the barrel job performance we have seen the first two weeks, that that means he s good? Who is he better than? He will struggle to crack a top 25 QBs list even if you started him another 19 starts. . That's good enough? Why? Because we spent so much? I don't mean to attack You. It is that everyone seems to be changing their tune all of a sudden and your post is a great example.

Reich got steamrolled. Tepper shoved a totally overwhelmed project into his lap and said make it work by September. Impossible. I am not unhappy with Canales like so many people are, but considering the anger I believe even more that we should have kept Wilks as HC as a bridge. Couple of years to instill some discipline and toughness back into the team, discreetly find their ideal HC to marry to a new QB, he'd probably have gone for that.

1st quarter of this year. It is all there in a condensed time frame, the stuff Canales or whoever had him working on was there on his first drop back, maybe 12 snaps later when the 1st quarter runs into the 2nd quarter forget about it. I don't remember how many plays we ran in that 1st quarter, but they weren't all pass plays so it really happened over the course of just a few plays. Complete unraveling.

The sad part is after they trashed Stroud on the S2 score, I didn’t know anything really but said okay fine, whatever. Take AR take Levis, that’s how bad I did not want Young. Those guys were huge gambles but I didn’t see Young as a gamble at all, I saw him as a sure failure. So it truly was anybody but… and it looks like that would have failed too. I just really did not want them to trade up like that in the first place. Stroud looked really good but it IS still not a sure thing, you don’t know even with the ones that look good, until they get in the fire.

Did you observe Thielen and Johnson both the last game Bryce was on the field with them at the same time? They wanted him gone but go ahead and keep riding your Bryceness.

I listened to some of that garbage. Not much, because I judged it as such. It supposedly came from another jock. DJ whatever they call radio people nowadays. Saying that is why Young is not doing well really ought to play perfectly for a few people around here but it is total horse sh t imo, as far as being some real scenario. That is crazy talk really. Might get him on a show with Riddick and Rex Ryan though, plays right into their viewpoints.

I am sort of gratified to see Christensen grade so poorly because I have not been impressed like others say they are. And Wallace, I liked the pick but I have lost faith that he will be anything. Slow, non instinctive, and that fumble he “caused”, he was standing there and the guy had his arms extended and rammed the ball into Wallace’s shin and it came out. Look what I found. And he wasn’t saddled with the green dot Sunday so I was watching for him a lot to see if he was any better without worrying with it. Not that I noticed.

I don’t mind Horn bristling over it or Franklin. They need to get mad. Far as running up scores, tables turn. You have to be able to take it like you serve it. It is on the Panthers to make that happen. To serve it.

It looked just like they plain didn’t want to push the little fellow too hard with the competition. If that isn’t it, it is a great cover story for whatever they were doing.

Thanks. I wasn't taking it like that I just wanted to clarify and to get that list in play so people can see exactly what the scoop is and why things have regressed so bad over there on that side. It is a stark contrast. The only way I can even accept it is if this was a two year plan and the defense is coming but I still didn't like it. Too much imbalance.

I don't think it is really going that great with Christensen at C. They aren't in synch, and really haven't gotten in synch all year as far as I can tell. I am not happy with Icky to be honest. Okay at best to me. Not having Tremble has hurt too, I think they were counting on more from him. But this is about when I was expecting to see things come together better, halfway through the first year. Not quite sure why they can't get a tough yard when they have to. Maybe it will start to bear fruit.

Well that's it. You can't really fit him in the trading away good players bin because he isn't our player in the future. 10 games of a guy that doesn't want to be here anymore is what we'd be trading. Do I wish it had been a better outcome where we'd be keeping him? Yeah but if he is copping the 'tude you have to move him out, almost like Robbie got moved.

When I used the word "gutted", if I did, it is in the context of a longer term neglect. Without adding in the money freed up by not spending on Burns, without counting sending DJ Moore off for offense (? made no sense), traded Dante Jackson for offense, all that stuff... just looking at three years of draft picks plus one still to be paid 2nd round for 2025, I am putting the tally below. What is very glaring is that in the last three years the highest draft pick used on defense is #70 of 2022 which was traded for a defensive player (CJ Henderson). After that, you have #72 for Wallace, #76 and #80 which went for another defensive player (Gilmore) and a defensive draft pick (DJ Johnson). THAT IS IT IN 3 YEARS. #70, #72, #76, #80 Big whoop. Wait and add up everything that went offense draft wise. I mean, if you DO want a rookie QB for your very own and want the top one or two then yeah you probably won't have the top pick again in 2026. I am not saying I want that, just agreeing that you take one when you have the best shot at one rather than waiting.

I agree I think he is gone. The transaction clock for the week starts after the MNF ends and that would be a time to do it.
