Ian Rapoport on Bryce: "Everyone had Bryce Young #1"
strato replied to Icege's topic in Carolina Panthers
That deal where Fitterer and Reich ‘kept it a secret’ from each other and were both all in on Bryce -no debate. Did they even have like, panel discussions or was it all, 'write it down and drop it in the box most votes is the pick’? I’m about as curious about this as I am any football stuff in a while. Probably since 2010 Fox and JR with the pie chart. -
He should be deferred to I think, because he knows what he wants for his scheme. This feels like a favor though, given the reports about how his injury is affecting him.

I’d be betting they asked Evero and he feels like giving the guy a look because he’s coached him. It costs little. They don’t lose their top waiver position, this is a mole hill.

I've been calling him a carpet bagger for a while. -

Stroud looked great and probably will continue to be, but the book on him may not be written either. -
Bryce Young won't play in preseason opener

This is insane however it is plausible. -
Panthers release first depth chart of 2024

Maybe it was a wakeup call for him. That happens sometimes. And there is little doubt, after looking at last year, that he will get fed the ball. -

Trading your future 1st round pick is very rarely a good idea (I took a vote among me myself and I and it is unanimous: we have a strict policy of NEVER trading a future 1st round pick. Got so mad at Hurney for doing that poo). Then you double down with the 9th overall pick, a high second round pick, and a starting WR on a team friendly contract. It is so brilliant a plan that the future 1st you traded becomes the Number one pick of them all. -
Camp Observations: Jack Plummer to get his chance Thursday
strato replied to Carolina Panthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jack don’t crack and he will keep your pipes clear too. Glad for him getting a chance. Next week would be fun if they go right down the field to start with. And more fun if he came back with a 60 yard strike to Johnson. Okay doubt that is happening, the little I saw of him he wasn’t hitting on much. -

Well, don’t you know they could trade DJ because Bryce wouldn’t need him, Bryce can make lemonade with lesser WRs. -

When I think about how he looked last year, he needs to be playing because that is how you get better the fastest. And he dearly needs to be better. They spent 150 million just on two guards. Call plays they can protect on. Get your QB some time in the saddle with the new offense. If it is that bad the first series then next time hand it off 3 times and pull him. Just me... -

I feel pretty good about Canales overall. He won’t be worse than what we have had. Pretty sure, and he may turn out to be a good move. We gotta get through this year. And find answers. -

I feel like yes this place was heavy for the processor. You could not express doubt without catching a ton of scoffing and derision, and being told all about it. and yeah, I was totally against that trade. 1000% You stay at your spot and be creative and be better than having to mortgage your future because you can’t get one any other way. -

Unfortunately that wouldn’t have necessarily changed the pick, but yeah we’d have kept a TON of assets. -

If it turns out he just can’t cut it, at least make sure we don’t string it out any longer than this year. -
I am feeling pretty inpatient to see what the QB will look like this year. What is the sense of him NOT playing? I know the game plan is not all QB sneaks and Hail Marys. Jets week though. Coming up. Hurry up.

I never said that I thought the 20 yard deep ball definition was instituted because of Young. If that is what you are saying you got something different from it than what I thought I was saying. I said it came up ion discussion probably because of him, and I think I said the Bryce Young fans were all for it, in so many words. IOW, he faces skepticism over arm his strength, a hard core Bryce stan will use that 20 yards designation as proof there is nothing wrong with his arm because.... deep ball etc etc All about some ball control fwiw. Hell I was a Willks guy. Those short and medium depth passes out to help with that a lot.

I responded to a specific statement that You made. It is here and it is in English. It was quoted even. If you don’t want people to refute you maybe stop saying refutable poo.
-
The math is too hard for me, but if you add up all the value spent on Bryce Young and divided it by the value spent on Milton or Rattler what would that look like? How many more lottery tickets could you buy?
-
I’m also more about real games. I don’t get it because if you are a Bryce homer you don’t want him hurt and if you are a skeptic you don’t want him hurt. I think they all should play or none should play, but worst case is this young man not get tpo prove what he is, on the field. Let’s get on with That.

That’s quality.
