They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird. pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.

There is a distinction between different ready to play now players’ floors. If the org deems the floor too low meaning this is it, they could get buy but there probably won’t be a second contract, then I could see passing on ready to play now in the draft ; you can find that player in people’s cuts and general FA. I’m not arguing against any of the names we passed that became stars. Dumb passing on some of them.

Some things look horrible but you had the position covered. Some things look horrible because they really were.

Well this one is more like it, 28-3 Falcons in the 3rd before I just stopped. Sorry. Bryce lovers: watch the Chicago game not this one. Bet the farm on Bryce.

I know zero about Madden football but was sucked in due to boredom and watched a couple of simulation games or Madden contests whatever they are. Someone is running 2024 season schedules played as Madden games. They are about an hour long. Maybe you guys hate them, I don’t know enough about setting up a Madden contest to know if it is righteous but it was kind of fun to look at. Haven’t watched this one yet, probably will tonight. Bryce looked really good vs Chicago in week 5 lol. I was shocked. The OL, entire team, included.

Offseason Topic: Most Under Appreciated Panther
strato replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
They kept Woods that’s enough for me. I like Evero and Morgan and if they are in, I’m in. I trust them pretty much. You know I just realized what a good spot we might be in with Morgan and Canales being tight. Morgan has that defensive mentality and can interface with the coordinator. Maybe better than Canales can. But is aligned with the offensive vision as well. I hate to be overly optimistic off of unproven stuff so let’s just call it an observation. -
Nobody was open!!!! Or nobody was SEC open. I hope he learned something from that (if he didn’t Canales is Johnny on the spot with that 2.7 to help him out).

It could work, but you have to work exponentially harder than with a prototypical type with a deep ball. That was my thing, why pay extra to make it harder on yourself?

Imagine if you will;, Cam vs Bryce in the same draft, and Tepper and Fitterer are putting their heads together... as if there is anything to discuss.

It is a beautiful dialect.

Lol yes. With Bryce looking a mature 16, it is a perfect Disney setup. They’ll get a they/them to be Bryce, and nobody will go see it.

I looked at his size and said this is the modern NFL, off my board. Then I said well let’s look at his arm. I watched his pro day and saw stuff in his mechanics and footwork that were pretty clear to me, and I am no scout, but it was enough to say please don’t take him. Now I am supposed to be positive about him. Lemon to lemonade?

I never heard that before the draft.

A throwaway is usually okay with me, like a punt. Live to fight on the next play. But he kind of took it to another level, throwing it away on 3rd down. At least throw deep enough that if picked at least it’s like a punt. Somebody might catch it, which OB is automatic DOA give up. I try and picture good things but in my head it looks like last season to me, which is sort of how I pictured things all along.

Except for some injury plagued years, from ’02 through Cam it wasn’t bad. We made it through the Jake to Cam journey and were back in action in a pretty short time.

I remember looking at him after they drafted him and thinking ... maybe (if I squinted I could almost see it). Then he got hurt, after looking like dogshit his first time(s) out as I remember it. That doesn’t help you.
-
He had insane physical gifts. I used to complain that he didn’t immediately start fixing all that his first offseason and each one after and never felt like he did. Because I knew what that could do for him (and us). Next level. Which I wanted to see happen. A whole lot of people here just insinuated or outright said I was a F150 or something for criticizing him.

We aren’t even one game into the Morgan/Canales era. I know, Tepper. An era could be 6 weeks. We don’t have a lot to go on as far as are they going to excel and things are already changed, or they suck and things are already the same. We just don’t know yet.

Would Fox have been as flexible with the offense though? Would he have been rigid and insistent on Cam running say, Dan Hennings’ scheme? Ron did allow alternative football to be played. Not arguing or correcting just asking.
