  1. I don't know how their grading system works but they're so high on it that they refuse to adapt it for when it gives them a clearly flawed result. Hell, they might be crediting him for a plus play on the plays where he's in good position but gets forklifted into Darnold's lap because from a technical perspective he did do his job. He was just physically incapable of carrying out the task. Which is one helluva flawed grading system if that's how they're rationalizing his grade.
  2. If you want to use a minor injury as the public excuse to avoid outright benching a vet for sucking, fine. I don't care. Actually seems like a decent thing to do. Just get our best five OL on the field, please.
  3. Halftime adjustments were the main thing. They just straight up kicked out teeth down our throat in the 3rd quarter.
  4. He seems to have a fast release but that matters more for DB reaction time than it does for the pass rush. 2.9 seconds for the pass rush to get there is still 2.9 seconds regardless of how much of that time is spent in the actual throwing motion.
  5. That's kinda my main point. Darnold actually seems to play better when the OL performs like ass. The more time he has, the worse the results trend. It's odd. It's the opposite of what you'd normally expect.
  6. Says the guy who evidently missed at least half of the initial post you were responding to. What are you talking about in terms of "release time"? Time to throw is the time from receiving the snap to releasing the ball. All rankings I posted were vs all other QBs not just rookies.
  7. He has but I'm honestly not sure how much is on him and how much is due to absolute suckage beside him.
  8. When there's this many I'm not gonna wade through and figure out which ones deserve banning and which ones don't. If you just don't engage they'll leave on their own. The thing about this job is that the pay isn't great. I'm not gonna spend a lot of time ciphering through reports. I'm only picking the low hanging fruit.
  9. Brady, Dak, Rodgers, Burrow Those guys come to mind immediately.
  10. Quickly going through reads and making a fast, good decision. The weird thing is that the more time Darnold has the worse he seems to be. He seems to play his best when the defense forces him into making a quick decision. That was kinda my main point.
  11. My specific critiques were that he holds the ball too long when he has time because he's slow to process and he's been inaccurate downfield. Those are the two things he needs to improve on to take his game to the next level. Do you disagree?
  12. Don't feed the trolls. If you don't take the bait, they'll get bored and leave.
  13. Honestly, I hadn't been paying attention to this thread. Yeah, I don't like it. I mean, the guy did it to himself attempting to plug his YouTube channel. But I still don't like it.
  14. Brady has only been here for two years though. Yeah, passing gets tougher in the redzone. The field shrinks and the D has a lot less turf to cover.
  15. What do you think most other OCs would look like when given Bridgewater and Darnold at QB and some traffic cones for an OL? Think about what a Shula-led offense would've looked like this year and last year.
  16. It wasn't negative. I said a lot of positive things. I had two specific critiques. He's slow to process in the pocket and he's inaccurate downfield. You can feel free to disagree and provide your own numbers and/or examples. Or you can just keep whining about other people having an opinion. Like you said, you do you.
  17. You want the context narrowed down to the point that it only includes Sam Darnold. When you're looking at all starting QBs and you're ranked in the mid-20s in certain categories it's not just gonna be future HOFers in front of you. Including Teddy's stats from last year was providing context.
  18. If you aren't gonna read you really should stop replying. You're just making yourself look bad. Not that you need any help doing that.
  19. It's all QBs. That also includes all the rookie starters, the Andy Daltons of the world, etc. I didn't just cherry pick the future HOFers.
  20. So, you want an n=1 study? No thanks. That's not very useful. All QBs includes a whole lot of rookies and other young QBs.
  21. That's why I went and looked up the stats. I wanted to see if my knee jerk reactions watching games were accurate. The stats suggest they probably were.
  22. Doesn't matter to me. TDs are TDs. Most of them have been walk-ins because despite him continuing to be an effective red zone runner teams through today still aren't respecting it. I fully expect that to start changing, but like I said that should help to open up other opportunities.
  23. Old Bill has something to say tonight because damn, so far he has Brady's ass dialed.
