  1. I think the big market thing is overplayed now. Cam was a huge name in Charlotte. Mahomes is the biggest name in the NFL in KC. It just doesn't matter that much anymore.
  2. I wouldn't even trade our 2nd. If there had been a preseason where we could've seen something then maybe, but he's literally never shown anything at the NFL level. He threw 20 TDs vs. 17 INTs his final season in college. He was drafted as a high upside project. I'm not trading a 2nd rounder for someone else's project having never had the opportunity to see them in the field vs. NFL competition at least in the preseason. It was a great pick by the Packers though. For the last few seasons, Rodgers had slipped from MVP caliber QB to that second tier of "very good but not quite MVP level" QBs. They shoot a shot across his bow with that Love pick, and *poof* Rodgers is magically right back at an MVP level.
  3. Overall I agree, but I don't think CB is a maybe. I absolutely think we're going to add a CB who we see as a starting outside CB. Whether that's via FA or a 2nd/3rd round draft pick I don't know.
  4. Yeah, I don't think it'll happen, but I'm only thinking from Watson's perspective here.
  5. It's nothing short of baffling. Outside of the Texans, the Jets are probably the biggest organizational dumpster fire in the league right now.
  6. I think the Rams could be players for Stafford but I don't think they have the cap space to absorb Watson while also dealing with Goff's cap blow.
  7. I think you nailed the top two, but I'd put the Colts #3, us and the Broncos 4a and 4b and the Bears wouldn't be on my list. Sorry, I just think Nagy is a hack.
  8. Meanwhile, in Detroit... "we're not getting as much interest in Stafford as we expected" suddenly became "damn, we can't even get a MFer to return a call..."
  9. AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Moments after they hire an unqualified HC candidate to appease Watson, he officially demands a trade. You can't make this poo up. Damn... the Texans are fuging dumpster fire.
  10. Why in the hell would we trade #8 overall for a QB who was a late 1st rounder a year ago and who hasn't shown anything at the NFL level? Good lord, the Packers would be doing backflips and laughing their asses off.
  11. Yep Early in his career there were numerous times we would have a drive to tie or go ahead just to watch a porous D give it away
  12. Agreed. That seemed to be the turning point between talking Teddy up as a "franchise QB" and starting to be more open about their frustrations with the QB position.
  13. That wouldn't be surprising. Sure will sting watching us give up significant draft value for the pick that should've been ours anyway.
  14. I think that's twisting Rhule's words a bit. I think what he was saying there is that he wants to see urgency from his QB, not that he's feeling that an upgrade at QB itself was very urgent... though the latter being the case would not be at all surprising.
  15. The Texans are going full NBA style trying to appease their superstar. It'll be hilarious if he still forces his way out.
  16. As the off-season progresses, some of these QB needy teams are gonna strike out. There's a lot of off-season to go.
  17. Yep, I'd do two 2nds for Stafford but I don't think Detroit would go for it. They want a 1st. If they're patient they'll get it. If Watson is moved, only one team will get him. Even if they have to wait until after the draft, there will be QB needy teams left out in the cold still needing a QB. They have a good commodity and a lot of the QB needy teams right now are thinking that surely they won't end up being one of those teams that doesn't have the dice roll their way this off-season in the QB carousel but when the dust settles there will be some teams sulking around kicking rocks.
  18. Teams waiting on the Deshaun Watson shoe to drop? I mean, you'd be kicking yourself if you traded a 1st and more for Stafford and then Houston came out and said bring me your offers for Watson
  19. Kirk is damn average. He's Teddy with balls.
  20. LOL! Smith only came about 250 yards shy of Jones' passing totals in 2019 (1256 vs. 1503) and they both had 14 TDs. Smith was already putting up very good stats before Jones became the entrenched starter this year.
  21. Really gotta pay attention to the traits with the QBs coming from powerhouses. Lawrence has elite traits. He has a good arm, good mobility and athleticism, prototype size. It's obvious why he's an elite prospect. Fields has elite traits. He has the arm. He has the athleticism. He has good size. If he was more consistent he'd be locked in as the #2 QB. Jones just doesn't fit. He put up great stats. But when you single him out and specifically watch him instead if watching the game and the result, you're left pretty unimpressed. Pretty much everyone is in agreement that Trask isn't a very good NFL prospect but I'd bet money he would've out up very similar videogame stats.
