It has been a nightmare ever since that guy bought the team. Our best season under him was his first season when he said he would be focusing entirely on the business side of the organization before "putting his stamp" on the football side. Well, the only stamp that's been put on the football side is the mushroom stamp our opponent puts on our face every Sunday.

I flipped that switch about halfway through last season. Like damn, I can't waste Sunday afternoons doing this anymore. If we're gonna be competitive, great. If not, I got other poo to do. And I'm done watching games after we need to be playing for draft position. Those are no won situations. If you lose, you still lose and that sucks. If you win, you're just hurting your future chances by costing yourself draft position and that also sucks.

Not gonna lie, I'm gonna have a pretty quick trigger finger today. It is way too beautiful of a day to waste it watching bad football.

Ah... brutal. Just came in to take a break from running fence and told my wife I wanted to get wrapped up by 1pm to watch football. She asked who was playing. I said basically the whole NFL, it's the first weekend of the NFL season. She said, "No, who is specifically playing at 1 that you're wanting to watch. Me sheepishly:"The Panthers." Her: *raucous laughter* "So you can start back up around 1:30?" *more raucous laughter* You know it's rough when you're getting mocked by your completely uninterested in sports wife.
