I'm most concerned that he hasn't looked like a passer either so far.

Prepare to be astonished by the tent cities if it's anything like it was three years ago.

Absolutely feels like it. Playing poorly, offense looking anemic, phantom injury out of the blue announced on Wednesday, ruled out on Thursday when he looked fine strolling around practice. What a disaster.

A little early to fret about losing him to a HC gig, but I'm happy with the job he has done so far and I'm ready for Reich to give his OC an opportunity to actually do the job.

Mods can we get a handle on these threads???

People are frustrated. Part of that frustration and going off the deep end is people constantly bitching about some fans watching what they're seeing and not exactly having a rosy outlook on it. Most of the threads end up falling off with minimal replies. -

I was there at that game. It was one of the cringiest things I've ever seen and the entire crowd was just like WTF? -
Yeah, and it'll be something really bad.

Sure seemed like Tepper downplayed it with the intention of moving on from it but fan chants, etc. didn't stop so it still feels downplayed vs. the JR era but it's still there. I think if he could ever field a successful team for a season he'd proudly announce a new slogan to much chagrin but he's not going to kick that hornet nest while we suck. -
I have a full size popcorn maker in my man cave but it will be unable to keep up with the entertainment this scenario would bring. You think the Huddle is a poo show now? Oh wee mayne. If a washed up vet comes in and looks better than our shiny new #1 overall pick the wailing is gonna be deafening.

I honestly didn't see much of a drop off in the D after Shaq went down.

I mean, people have to vent. There's basically two camps. The "this is a dumpster fire" camo and the "this is fine" camp and both think the other camp is unreasonable. Basically, the Huddle is a poo show right now and it shouldn't be surprising. Fanbases tend to go as their team goes. -
Marty Hurney, Dave Gettleman, Scott Fitterer

Indeed. That's what we're working with. That's the sample size. We all hope it'll get better but we all hoped it would get better going into week two as well. It was this same story throughout the preseason. It would be different come the regular season. Okay, so when? Not week one. Not week two. When can a reasonable fan expect to see signs of a functional padding offense? -

Well, so far we know that the passing offense looks like trash and That's holding back the overall team. That's what we know. Yeah, we all hope it can be fixed. -

I didn't say that. All I responded to was you basically calling someone stupid for suggesting that Fitts might be worse than Hurney. I have zero defense of Marty Hurney but so far, I've seen no concrete evidence to argue that Fitts is better. -

I honestly can't say that it is, particularly the offensive passing game. It's BAD. -

You're hoping. There is no actual evidence to the contrary. -

Where's the evidence to the contrary? Hurney sucked but we did have some sporadic success with him. We haven't accomplished poo so far with Fitts. Real NFL coaching was supposed to unlock the talent on this roster. Through two games it basically just looks like an extension of the Rhule era. -

That whole Norman fiasco just gutted the locker room and forced Gettleman to spend half a draft class just trying to patch together a secondary that was held together by Norman. All because he got butthurt and threw a hissy fit and needed to show somebody who's boss. -
Something has to change. When everything looks broken and everyone looks bad it isn't because everyone sucks. There are scheming and play calling issues involved too.
-
Fitts has drafted two 2nd round WRs over the course of three years and they both look like ass. His FA splash signing a this year aren't looking great either. Thielen looks like he's lost a step and that's why the Vikings were ready to move on. Chark is a deep ball specialist and evidently going deep is something we just don't do. It was pretty alarming for Reich to stand up there and straight up say that the play calling isn't the problem. Okay, so what is? What are you doing to address that? Because you low key just threw your whole offense under the bus for just not playing well enough to properly execute your brilliant play calling.

Gettleman's biggest issue was his ego IMO. He had to feel like he was winning the dick measuring contests even if he was cutting off his nose to spite his own face in the process. Doesn't matter. He showed that guy who's boss. -
I literally said the play calling sucks and the WR play isn't good.
